24.01.2022 Was a perfect morning with some pretty ladies and lots of kookaburras keeping me company. Happy weekend. Whatever you do be kind and happy. How blessed we are .

22.01.2022 Absolute bliss on the sand this morning. The girls got to experience first hand the many benefits of sand training. Fresh air, peace and a solid workout while our kids played and collected stones. Simply being outdoors can boost your mood and happiness by 100%.

21.01.2022 Exercise 2....following on from the plank....it is the PUSHUP! Pushups can be done basically anywhere at no cost with varying degrees depending on your core and upper body strength. Titan is showing pushups on toes whilst maintaining a perfect straight back and chest going straight down. Pushups use major muscle groups and are a weight bearing exercise which means stronger more dense bones - especially important as we age and lose bone density.

21.01.2022 For the next week or so, I will post a pic together with a few benefits of a simple but effective exercise that you can do anywhere and without any cost. Life is about having a go and improving so try not to compare and be kind.... . To start off, below is the amazing Liz showcasing....PLANK....which is 1 of the best exercises for core conditioning but also works glutes, hamstrings and helps with posture and balance. Planking helps tone your belly, reduces back pain as your core strengthens, relieves stiff and tense muscles and improves flexibility (part information from peak fitness - fitness.mercola).

19.01.2022 Exercise 3.....SQUATS.....Such a perfect exercise for a total lower body workout as tones legs, lifts the butt, strengthens the core and increases flexibility. You can take it up a notch and do jump squats or add weights to your legs or hold a weight while squatting. You can squat anywhere and by gradually increasing your reps build up your fitness and notice a difference. Happy squatting

16.01.2022 Happy 2016! The year is well and truly underway.....January is always tough. After Christmas and New Years and holidays we all feel a bit out of sorts and sometimes struggle to get back into the rountine of fitness and health. Don't beat yourself up about it, take it a day at time and remember how far you have come. Boxing in the park tomorrow. What a super way to celebrate Friday :-)

13.01.2022 Such a gorgeous morning along the river bank.....Yes winter is cold and it rains more but gotta love the colors and a rainbow to top it off = . Happy Wednesday

12.01.2022 So it doesn't look pretty or fancy, no one will ever hashtag you in a pic of it and you will never be known as eating "trendy or cool", - BUT....If you can learn the basics of cooking sauce bases from scratch then you never have to worry about added sugar or eating things you don't want to. It really is so simple and easy as browning your choice of meat (be it chicken or beef or even seafood) and then adding lots of veggies (i.e. mushrooms, capsicum, zucchini, carrot, onion, garlic, herbs, tomatoes and tomato paste etc), simmer for a few minutes and hey presto you have a meal base that can be frozen, reheated, and experimented with. You can use it as a bolognese (use zucchini noodles), shephards pie (use cauliflower), lasagna (use fresh pasta or moutain bread) etc. I say simple and full of veggies = winner :-)

06.01.2022 Such super weather. How awesome is this view . We are all busy and it is easy to avoid exercise but in reality we need to move. Not training to punish ourselves, or be athletes or look a certain way but basic everyday exercise to help our health and improve our moods. I did these stairs 20 times together with 4 sets of 50 squats, 50 dips, 50 ankle taps and 50 alternate leg lunges (50 because I lose count of any other number....). I did it because I am a Mum and want to be healthy for my boys .

06.01.2022 H.I.I.T stands for HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING. Which is an easy and simple way to keep your workouts shorter in duration with a high rate of fat burning happening. Like everything there are pros and cons and many opinions as to the benefits and if it actually works. The idea behind HIIT is that you do an exercise flat out (within your ability and fitness level) and then rest. When done PROPERLY, HIIT produces something called EPOC (Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumpt...ion) (also called "afterburn") which means more fat burning as the body breaks into fat stores to replace the lost fuel. A HIIT workout you can do at home using only your own body weight.... * Lunges * Star jumps * Plank * Mountain climbers * Push ups 15 seconds each exercise; Rest 15 seconds; Keep adding exercises on after each round (with only a rest after adding the extra exercise....ie...lunges, rest, lunges, star jumps, rest, lunges, star jumps, plank, rest, lunges, star jumps, plank, mountain climbers, rest, lunges, star jumps, plank, mountain climbers, pushups, rest - repeat and have fun) See more

02.01.2022 Resistance training in the harbour....Deep water running and jump squats combined with lots of ab work = fun times

02.01.2022 Change of times for group sessions - times are now...... * Mondays at 6am * Wednesdays at 9.30am * Fridays at 9.30am... * Saturdays at 6am As always everyone is welcome :-)
