24.01.2022 After waiting for what seems like an eternity, I was finally able to get out and grab some lightning shots. This was taken from McKees Hill about halfway between Lismore and Casino. Lots of bolts made for entertaining viewing. Most importantly it rained across many parts of the Northern Rivers today, which hopefully gives some temporary relief to those struggling with the drought. Not for media use or article embedding. 23.01.2022 Squally ice/snow shower near Niangala a few hours ago. Expecting more snow showers this afternoon and evening in the Walcha area.
22.01.2022 Welcome to my page. This will be a place where I'll share my passion of photographing nature at her best and sometimes its worst. From chasing storms in Australia and the USA, to capturing some of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet. I'll be getting the page fully established over the next couple of months so please feel free to share anything you like here.
22.01.2022 Had an enjoyable time today following snow showers around the lower Northern Tablelands. First time snow chasing the Walcha area and although it wasn't the forecast snow I had expected, it was still nice to experience some of that white gold in a completely different area I'm used to. Here's a few highlights of the day. Any shares, comments and likes welcome.
20.01.2022 Timelapse video of yesterdays chase in the Tweed Valley. Beautiful structure and packing quite a punch! Best viewed in full HD. Any likes or shares welcome. https://youtu.be/c6ECU0g987U
18.01.2022 More late season thunderstorms impacted the Northern Rivers again today (5 days in a row I believe). I took my son out on chase today and we witnessed a wonderfully lightning active storm make its way up from the Clarence Valley. Here are some of my favourite shots from today. 17.01.2022 Finally an opportunity to chase and the atmosphere did not disappoint. Targeted the Tweed Valley with the possibility of seeing severe storms riding the southerly change. This supercell emerged from the gloom and pummeled the Tweed Valley with strong winds, heavy rain and 2-3cm hail (estimated).
11.01.2022 Short video from near Ben Lomond last night. Mix of snow and soft hail. Was fortunate enough to be enjoying a weekend away with my wife and the snow was an awesome bonus. Any likes or shares welcomed.

06.01.2022 Was nice to get back in the groove of chasing on St.Patricks day. Took my chances on some activity to the North West of Tenterfield and mother nature didn't let me down. An interesting cell near Bonshaw briefly exhibited severe features however it soon became engulfed into a squall line which I managed to get in and out of 3 times! Needless to say the drive through the range between Tenterfield and Drake was "interesting". Observed the line at Mallanganee before eventually moving to Casino where I let it pass over me for the final time before heading home. In what has been one of the leanest chasing seasons I can remember, it was refreshing just experience the sights and sounds of a thunderstorm again.
03.01.2022 After what seems like an eternity I was able to get out and capture some lightning that rolled through the Northern Rivers last night. Plenty of Cloud to Ground (CG) lightning made for a welcome break from the boring weather of late. As always any shares and likes are welcomed!
02.01.2022 Experienced some white gold near Ben Lomond early this morning. Love the snow!
