24.01.2022 The Turner Tennis Courts will be available for booking by members from Tuesday 5 May. At present this is only for singles play, unless players are from the one family. It is important that we all take precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. An email has been sent to members outlining the guidelines for reopening the courts to reduce the likelihood of contracting the virus while playing tennis. Before playing tennis, please review the guidelines and consider your indiv...idual situation, noting that the COVID-19 virus can spread quickly and result in very serious medical complications in some people. Access to Turner Tennis Courts will be provided on the basis that members adhere to those Guidelines.

07.01.2022 Here are the current guidelines for playing tennis at Turner: Doubles is allowed. Maximum groups of 10 which includes coach/coordinator, participants, and spectators. Multiple groups of 10 are permitted at the one venue on the basis of the one person per 4 square metre rule, however there should be no cross over of these groups (social or on court activity). Clubhouses to remain closed. ... Small group coaching allowed for the purposes of Junior Coaching, group sizes of four are recommended. This accounts for the coach, four students, and four accompanying adults within the group of 10. There may be other group coaching sessions you will need to apply this logic to eg. Cardio class for parents (who also bring children along). Sharing of balls for coaching the recommendation remains that coaches only handle balls. Hand sanitiser has been placed at the entrance to the courts for use before and after sessions. Please also note we are required to leave a period between bookings to ensure you have time to wipe down any equipment you have touched and leave courts before next players arrive. There will therefore be some restrictions to the times you can select to start play when booking online. Enjoy your return to play.
