19.01.2022 TWO TUROSS TEAMS FEATURE IN GRAND FINALS The Grand Finals of the Eurobodalla District Tennis Association Womens Midweek Comp were held at Narooma on Thursday 26/11/15. Extreme weather conditions of stifling heat and gusty hot winds made conditions as challenging as they were frustrating for the players. Ice water and beetroot-red faces were the order of the day. Play was halted as the mercury climbed, until a southerly change allowed play to resume. In Division 1, the Turos...s/Moruya team (Elaine Anderson (pictured), Michele Blackburn, Karen Tritton, Jodie Colbourne, Helen Wilson, Julie Staunton) defeated Tomakin1 by 5 sets to 1. In Division 3, the Tuross team (Kay Crisp, Lyne Gatty, Karen Motyka, Sue Knight, Rima Edwards, Annette Hockey) were defeated by Dalmeny, 5 sets to 3. Congratulations to all players! The next EDTA midweek comp starts in February 2016, by which time hopefully everyone has recovered! For more information, go to www.tennis.com.au/EDTA

The tournament, for Over 35s, was organized by Scott and Jodie Colbourne and based at Moruya Tennis Club.
