19.01.2022 A Life Changing Experience, a year in France on Rotary Youth Exchange Sydney schoolgirl Grace Colville spent 2019 as a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Chaumont, northern France. Knowing no French language she quickly immersed herself into the French way of life, staying with host families, attending school, meeting fellow exchange students and travelling widely within Europe. Grace shares her impressions, the lessons learned and the cultural differences between the French and Australians. Her mother Cath Colville provides a parent's perspective and explains how Rotary's history, culture and values assured her that Grace would be in safe hands while overseas. https://rotarydistrict9685.org.au/sitepage/ryep https://soundcloud.com//a-life-changing-experience-grace-c

12.01.2022 Coralie Jensen from Easy Care Gardening spoke to Rotary Club of Turramurra in our regular zoom meeting tonight. This organisation is amazing providing volunteers to look after gardens of people in need according to particular criteria. Many clients are widows. In this time of COVID-19 new people are volunteering who have a bit more time on their hands. Some of our Rotary members are volunteers. If you are interested please contact them. Corporate volunteering should be able to happen again in future again. https://www.easycaregardening.org.au//apply-to-be-a-volun/

06.01.2022 Lynne Shori joined our Rotary Club of Turramurra Zoom Meeting this evening to bring us up to date with an exciting new project happening in Manus. Through supporting leaders who conduct the project, they have been able to reach 89% of people in the LLG with information regarding COVID-19, training about washing hands in the local language and more importantly the soap specially developed for PNG conditions. An amazing project saving lives in these difficult times.
