24.01.2022 It's nesting time! Female turtles have been seen in Maylands today, so watch out for them in the next few days and please keep your distance if the turtle is laying. Also keep your dog well away and do not take turtle back to the lake if she is heading away from it to nest. If in any doubt, just phone one of our Metro area numbers for advice

24.01.2022 This group also willing to help with egg harvesting from dead females.

23.01.2022 Come an hear all about our lovely turtles from a scientist on the 'front line'... TONIGHT at UWA.

22.01.2022 We might alert them to turtle crossing areas? If anyone out there sees turtles crossing the road in this council area, let them know please.

16.01.2022 Turtles are moving around at the moment. But no nesting females: yet! This male (note his long tail) kept coming into a property in East Victoria Park, having abandoned his habitat next door - perhaps due to a lack of food. We decided to take him somewhere he might be happier, so he's now in a wetland in a bushland area that's managed by a 'Friends of' group. He was happy to explore his new home!
