25.01.2022 Have you seen our Mandarin Program Wall yet and how it has been linked to all different learning areas so far? You don't want to miss this one.....

23.01.2022 We all had a playroom growing up. It was called "outside".

22.01.2022 Calling all our wonderful Grandparents to join us for some fun and games on Wednesday 12th February, 2020 from 10am.

21.01.2022 Turtletot is proudly participating in the Grow Your Mind program - A program that educates both children and educators about the brain, emotions and how to regulate our wellbeing. On Friday, the preschoolers worked on the 'Breathe. Think. Act' phase, where they were able to learn about ways to calm themselves during different situations. This enabled the children to recognise the ways in which they can strengthen their emotional wellbeing as part of our school readiness program.

20.01.2022 The importance of responding quickly, calmly and safely! This week the children and educators have been rehearsing their emergency evacuation drills. From lock downs, gas leaks all the way to fire evacuations our children and staff are ready!

19.01.2022 Over the weekend, our dedicated team of educators participated in their own form of Professional Development. To begin, our staff participated in a 'centre tour', where they each took turns in highlighting policies and procedures of the service and their room routines. Over the rest of the day, staff participated in a range of activities which consisted of breaking down the cycle of planning, trust and communication games, a cognitive quiz as well as a simplified presentation on the National Quality Framework. This enabled our team to work in collaboration with one another as they strengthened their understanding of the roles and responsibilities needed to carry out the overall operation of the service.

17.01.2022 What a special morning celebrating the relationships between our children and their Grandparents today. A big thank you to all those who got involved and had some fun making and playing with playdough, completing collages, learning mandarin and participating in our soccer program.

12.01.2022 An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish of their choice. Our wish is for our wonderful Miss Kitty's family back home in China to recover safely from Coronavirus. So far, Turtletot staff have folded 30 cranes...watch this space as we work together to fold a total of 1000 cranes. Please note, parents are more than welcome to join! #oneteamonecommunity

12.01.2022 At Turtletot Childcare we thrive off our partnerships formed with families and community members. A big thank you to Yiayia Angela who offered to come in and contribute to our language program on Friday morning.

12.01.2022 Welcoming all our children's Grandparents to Turtletot next Wednesday, 12th January 2020.

11.01.2022 Participating in a red envelope hunt to celebrate the last day of Chinese New Year.

11.01.2022 What a better way to build on our sense of community than welcoming the firefighters from Kogarah Fire Station who not only taught us all about fire safety but allowed us to explore the equipment on the fire truck. More importantly, we were able to thank them for all their efforts and hard work demonstrated over the last few months!

04.01.2022 Watch this space.....Our new Mandarin Language program commenced yesterday where the children learnt to greet and farewell one another as well as participating in a puppet show. The children also began to learn the first two sentences of 'Twinkle twinkle little star in Mandarin' with the goal to have it learnt off by heart before May 2020.

03.01.2022 Our preschoolers have dived right into the depths of science through their interest in mixing colours. Observing, predicting and comparing, the children have executed their scientific thinking skills as they have experimented with cause and effect whilst more importantly, having fun with their creativity!

03.01.2022 Who dares to teach must never cease to learn ~ Our wonderful team participated in a wellbeing seminar learning about the importance of mental health and education not just for the children but for themselves.
