17.01.2022 Does your mood need uplifting? Have you been feeling grumpy, gray or just blah? Well let me share some aromatherapeutic tools with you. Scents can boost your mood, improve productivity and influence the brain to wake up! Let’s talk about essential oils (EO) that you can easily get to make up a home a home or office remedy: 1. Lavender. A calming EO that curbs emotional stress, soothes the emotion, can aid in relieving headaches or depression. ... 2. Lemon. Citruses can clarify your energy centre. However, lemon is better known to fight exhaustion, reduces inflammation, boost immunity and blood circulation. 3. Rosemary. The perfect pick me up. Readily available, this popular garden herb is great for stimulating circulation, fighting nervousness, easing rheumatic pains, lifts your mood and eases digestion. 4. Mint. Refreshing and an energy booster. Promotes clear thinking and invigorates the mind. 5. Lemongrass. Has a slight sedative affect on the central nervous system. It’s an antioxidant and antidepressant. 6. Cinnamon. Warms the heart and respiratory system, adds a smile to your face and tummy. 7. Chamomile. Aids in reducing colic, insomnia, irritability, migraine and menopause. 8. Jasmine. Helps to reduce insomnia, moodiness and headaches. Brings an increase in confidence, optimism and replenishes energy. How to use: Pick me up tea Tonic: A slice of ginger, a squeeze of lemon, a cinnamon stick and honey in hot water. Sip through the day. A relaxing tea: Camomile, chopped lemongrass and a few lavender seeds mixed with honey. Drink it hot. Make a room diffuser. Add a few drops of your favourite oil into the water of your aroma diffuser. Have it on in every room or on your office desk. Make a quick massage oil: You can use sunflower oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba or fractionated coconut oil. You can do a mix of these oils too for massage oil. However for Fran grande I recommend only using sweet almond oil. Here’s a simple recipe: In a 100ml bottle 95gm is your carrier oil. 1.5-2gm is the EO For a quick pick me up perfume: In a 10ml bottle 7gm of sweet almond oil 1.5-2gm is EO For a relaxing bath: a few drops into your water, be careful when you get out. It can be slippery. Happy mixing and hope you’ll be happy as a lark soon enough! Leave a comment if you have tried this.. I would love to hear from you.
