22.01.2022 Sharing stories with one another is a special experience. In 2019, while working at Bialik College, I wrote an article for the Windows into Children's Thinking Journal called "Beyond the bounds of a book's leaves" reflecting on the children's investigation. These school holidays, I would encourage you to read more stories, to share more stories and to create stories with one another. Perhaps you might like to publish your stories too. 03.01.2022 There is an inner voice that pushes children on, but this force is greatly multiplied when they are convinced that facts and ideas are resources, just as their friends and the adults in their lives are precious resources. It is especially at this point that children expect as they have from the beginning of their life adventure the help and truthfulness of grownups. Loris Malaguzzi What would you say if you saw your children playing in the mud? Would you see them explor...ing a natural resource one which they can manipulate and use it to tell stories with? In the classroom, Reggio teachers and students research, we listen to our inner voice and we explore new ideas with clay and other resources. As the school holidays draw to a close, maybe you could use playdough, mud from your backyard or other resources to explore and investigate together. See more
