16.01.2022 Last week our family did a little camp not far from home midweek. And as most of my lessons are currently online we were able to have most of our lessons as planned. :-)

11.01.2022 Here are some great apps for young kids in preschool and kindergarten levels that can really help. I've included some videos in the comments of my own son using them (he is 3 at the end of July).
11.01.2022 Look at the differences between a typical younger child’s hand (left) and a typical older child's hand (right). I have parents asking regularly why their presch...ool aged child isn’t able to write yet. This is why! Their hands (and brains) are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc. All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready! See more
08.01.2022 A catchy song for your little ones learning their colours. Harris has made me play it 4 times in a row now. Lol. Good for rhyming practice too!
07.01.2022 If you are struggling with content being sent from school and want to step away from the computer have a look at these. Some great resources with activity sheets that can be downloaded and printed to be completed..

01.01.2022 A great way to practice your times tables or spelling words while creating something cool in the process. 1. Use a black and white stencil colouring in page. Out of a book or printed from the net. Ensure the page is simple with relatively thick lines so you can see it through a page. 2. Put a blank page over the top of the colouring page and staple it to ensure it won't move. ... 3. Using your spelling words or timestables write them small and neat following along the lines that come through from the page underneath. I did this one on my lap in the lounge room with not much light. But if your child is struggling place it again a strong window it glass door with natural light coming through to help see the lines better. 4. Once you have covered all the lines your page should resemble the original page. You could colour this in and display if you wanted to. Enjoy :-)
01.01.2022 Some good ideas for those who need some fun in their house.
