25.01.2022 This short "flyover" view was taken a couple of weeks ago before the rain found us! Still lots to do to reclaim our property!

25.01.2022 Today was a good day - coffee at last!

25.01.2022 Don't want to jinx ourselves but want to put it out there for all to know that our ice cream machine is now behaving again so Tutti Fruitti ice cream is back on the menu!

24.01.2022 It is amazing to see how much of the bush is regenerating since the fires. Seven months ago all the bush around our property was covered in a deep layer of ash, not a sign of green anywhere and every tree was black. Today many of the trees are starting to regenerate and the undergrowth is returning. It will recover!

23.01.2022 So everything going a bit slow again, very frustrating for everyone! Unfortunately my rain dances have not worked and our dam is now totally empty so that is causing more problems with no water for the gardens. Also need to find more staff so please message me if interested.

21.01.2022 Bit of a slow week for us and now more rain to hold us up again! We have got our water tank in place but just a pity that we have no roof to collect the water! Nearly there but not quite!

19.01.2022 Another good day of progress and beautiful sunshine to enjoy while out in the gardens. Big excitement for the day with the arrival of our 'upgraded' toilet. This one even has a roof!

18.01.2022 Another week and lots of action! Have to make the most of it while the weather is being kind to us.

18.01.2022 WINTER HOURS Definitely a little chilly now early in the mornings so time to change to our winter hours for the next few months. Just a slightly shorter day with 10am open and 4pm close. Plenty of winter warmers on our menu though so call in for your hot chocolate, homemade soup, hotpots and lots more. And for the really committed of course you can still enjoy Tutti Fruitti ice-cream, no matter what the weather is doing!

17.01.2022 Been beautiful weather for the gardens again so now we have got the courtyard area reclaimed and a bit of colour to brighten it up! So much more to do but just trying to focus on a small section each week and enjoy seeing some positive results!

17.01.2022 Very frustrating few days with our new ice-cream machine out of action and then our ice-cream freezer dying on us!!! Hoping all will be resolved tomorrow and we can then offer our delicious Tutti Fruitti ice-cream again! And would also be nice to see just a little more sunshine to go with that ice-cream!

14.01.2022 So nice for our water tanks and dams to have a weekend of really good rain but not so good for the building site! Mud and slush everywhere so that's putting us on hold for a week or two! But all the newly planted gardens loved the rain!

13.01.2022 Progress... after a few hassles along the way we are now seeing some progress and feeling like things are starting to take shape!

12.01.2022 That special date has been set! Lots of emotions over past 11 months, lots of hard work, lots of ups and downs but now finally nearly there. Exciting and scary! Official opening date - Thursday 3rd December 2020

10.01.2022 We now have these speciality candles in two amazing fragrances - berry basket and apple harvest - can't decide which one I like the most!

10.01.2022 Just wanted to say big thank you to a local Kurrajong resident "just passing by" who stopped with his lawn mowing trailer and offered to mow our lawns. So very much appreciated right now when we feel like we just don't have enough hours in the day to cope with reopening and getting everything working smoothly! Nice to know that spontaneous acts of kindness still exist! Thankyou Rodney!

10.01.2022 We had a win today and with a big team effort managed to get the roof on before the rain arrived. Looking good! And hopefully this means with a bit of airflow above us we will not get "fried" in the containers in the summer months!

07.01.2022 It's finally here! Our new ice-cream machine has now arrived and of course we have done a test run over the weekend with the grandchildren to make sure our fruity ice-cream still tastes fantastic! Just got to find a bigger bench space for it to sit on!

07.01.2022 Today very mixed emotions. A little sad remembering our disaster day one year ago today but also some happy thoughts about where we have got to over the past 12 months. We are closed now for the Christmas- New Year period and will be reopening on Saturday 2nd January. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.

06.01.2022 Getting closer... fencing now happening! Hoping to set an official opening date very soon - looking at late October, early November. So many people keep asking WHEN so I think we just have to go for it and hope that we are 99% ready by then!

04.01.2022 We are getting a little closer each week ... but it does feel like the job list is still endless! This week we are trying to resurrect some of the old picnic tables that didn't get burnt and trying to recreate some outdoor seating spaces. Beautiful sunshine helps the workers!

03.01.2022 Great progress! Photo showing back of shop on Friday and then lots of action today and we have managed to get all the grass in place before the rain beds it in for us tomorrow! Getting closer

02.01.2022 LOOKING FOR STAFF Barista position and kitchen assistant position This could suit a cafe allrounder or alternatively be two separate positions. Shifts available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Need experienced, reliable seniors who can cope with crazy days! 02.01.2022 Exciting News!!! It really did rain in Bilpin over the weekend & saved the gardens AND Our recent hassles have now been resolved and we have been given the green light!!! Will post opening date very soon.
