05.01.2022 MYTH #2 The amount of or does not equal sales or your worth. The intention that potential customers have when they engage in social media (facebook, instagram & tik tok etc) is just that to be social.... And a lot of the time new businesses think that the amount of page followers, likes and hearts will automatically equal the amount of sales they will get. The use of social media can lead to sales BUT we need to remember it is a tool, not a magic wand. Social media helps you build a rapport with your potential customers, it is a tool that helps you educate, celebrate/delight and sell. If you are all about the sell, then it is no longer a social media platform for your business or your customers. Find a medium between the three different types of posts: Educate your customers on a deeper level about your products & services, your why, who you are and how you can help them. Celebrate achievements & milestones within your Communities. Delight their imaginations and entertain them. If you know your customer avatar well you will know what they like and enjoy in addition to your products Sell your products, tell the stories of the products with a clear goal of selling. Use the above tips to help build your brand awareness, which in time will help increase the traffic to your online store/business from the social media platforms your business is currently using.
