19.01.2022 Following our series in 1 John, we want to use our holiday weeks to push deeper into what it looks like to Belong at Village Church. In an age of endless church live streams and top-shelf sermon podcasts, what's the point of physically gathering together? What's God's grand vision for his church?

19.01.2022 Village Church is in an unique and exciting position with many people investigating Jesus are coming to Village. We want to help these people discover Jesus in the gospel of John by reading the Bible with them. Please seriously consider whether you could participate in the joy of sharing the Gospel of Jesus with these people by reading the Bible with them one to one. Village Church will help find someone you can read the Bible with. Village Church has also partnered with City... Bible Forum to provide training and support as you do this. If you would like to share the Gospel with someone investigating Jesus - or you would like to find out more about that, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/9XLoFmBUVK7X4Tud8 Or, if you are investigating Jesus and would like a Christian to read the story of Jesus with you, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/XSWbmvYZeK8HhozKA

14.01.2022 Dear church, I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually resulted in the advancement of the gospel, so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is for Christ. Most of the brothers and sisters in the Lord have gained confidence from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the message fearlessly. Philippians 1:12-14 It must have been tempting for Paul’s friends and su...pporters to be fearful. He was arrested and in prison for his faith--if we speak up then we could be joining him. It must have also been tempting to question what God was doing--How could it be advantageous for the church to have its greatest worker in chains? But Paul wants the church to see things differently. Paul and the church, for so long, had been dreaming and praying about how the gospel might reach the very heart of the Roman Empire. This was now a reality. Christ was now coming into conversations between people who had never spoken of Christ before. Paul and the church were beginning to see how the disaster of Paul’s imprisonment had brought more and more people to hear about Christ. And for Paul that was the most important thing in the whole world. It's so easy for us to write off 2020 as being a disaster. But is this how God looks at it? How might God be wanting us to see things differently? And as we see God powerfully and sovereignly at work in the midst of this pandemic may we too grow in confidence and dare even more to speak the message fearlessly. Sam. #villagechurchkg

06.01.2022 Special thanks to Term 3 kid’s church leaders! Thank you so much for all the kids church leaders for serving your church family so humbly and whole-heartedly. Kids church aims to plant the seed of God’s word in their hearts and help that seed grow into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We aim to raise children, who will grow into young people who love the Lord.... To that end, we'd like to remind the parents to ask their younger children about the craft and the lesson, and to ask the older children what was the big idea on kids church was. But needless to say, without leaders and helpers this cannot happen--so please pray for more leaders and helpers to come and join this ministry in Term 4. If you're interested and want to know more about what role you could play, how much work you need to do, or how NOT scary it is, please talk to Chandra at the morning service or the evening service. #villagechurchkg

We’re going to continue singing some of them through the next few months.
