22.01.2022 #Jobkeeper Scott Morrison has announced that Jobkeeper is going to be extended from September 28, but with some new rules and rates. How will this affect you? 1. Right now, nothing is changing for those currently receiving Jobkeeper, up to the original end point of 28 September.... 2. Jobkeeper 2.0 will kick off from 28 September, but businesses will need to pass eligibility tests based on actual turnover, in order to be eligible to receive payments in the December 2020 and March 2021 Quarters. 3. The rates are reducing from the current flat rate of $1,500/fortnight to a maximum of $1,200/fortnight in the December quarter and $1,000/fortnight in the March 2021 quarter. 4. A reduced rate is also being introduced for the December 2020 and March 2021 quarters, where employees that would normally work less than 20 hours a week face a fortnightly rate of $750 and $650 respectively.

08.01.2022 #Jobkeeper2 Jobkeeper 2.0 hasn't even arrived yet, but changes are already in progress - https://www.theguardian.com//coalition-tweaks-jobkeeper-sc Key changes so far include: 1. Excluding the June 2020 quarter from the re-testing periods 2. Including employees who were on the books as at 1 July 2020 to be eligible for payments... None of this is legislated yet, so its likely we will see further changes based on how COVID impacts the economy in the weeks to come, particularly in NSW and VIC.
