22.01.2022 Greetings all you fine folks We’re on the lookout for some vintage helpers (like everyone else) We need 2 or 3 fit, healthy and enthusiastic people. ** 2 for VY... action - start mid/late January thru until end of harvest. Experience welcomed but not essential. **1 for winery plus bit of VY stuff as well. Be nice if they had a vintage or two under the belt. 18.01.2022 Warm and windy tonight in the Yarra Valley! Queensland fruit fly breeding is triggered by temperature. If there are any fruit fly around we need to prevent them... breeding. A stitch in time saves 9- or 800 in the case of QFF!! Any evenings where the temperature is 15deg C means QFF will breed! Make sure you have your make QFF traps installed! 12.01.2022 Queensland Fruit Flies (QFF) have been found this week in Coldstream, Mt. Evelyn, Silvan, Seville, and Warrandyte. Please check your homegrown fruit. Look for s...oft squishy brown flesh and little larvae. Report it to [email protected] or via messages. Save a sample in a sealed bag in the fridge. Freeze or boil suspect fruit, then put it in the bin. Install QFF traps (male ones and food based ones). Use protein bait weekly and reapply after rain. Keep the Yarra Valley fruit fly free!!! We need everyone on board with this.
