25.01.2022 Gorgeous Ewingsdale coastal carpet python in the wrong spot, right next to the bird cage eyeing off the potential food. Lucky the owner removed the birds before the python could get to them. This is a good reminder to pet bird owners never to house birds in this type of cage. Always have either bird aviary mesh or mouse mesh, and to prevent gaps around access doors.
25.01.2022 A big day but good timing training volunteer wildlife carers in handling non venomous snakes. Yep start of spring and our reptile friends are seeking food and mates. Please be good with our scaley friends now that they are active!
24.01.2022 No need for a relocation this time, found this beautiful common tree snake in my backyard!
20.01.2022 Wow, two Eastern Brown Snake males in combat which were way too close to the house at Dungay. I was hopeful their activity was enough to distract them, but only managed to get one of the two.
18.01.2022 Last seen in the study, door closed and jammed with towels nowhere to go, I thought it wasn’t there until I moved the mattresses! Lovely common tree snake at west tweed heads.
16.01.2022 To all snake catchers keep a watch out. This is exciting news.
13.01.2022 You really can’t see me, but I can see you! Little coastal carpet relocated out of a kitchen Murwillumbah.
08.01.2022 Big python at West Tweed Heads this morning. Not often do I come across big ones like this. What a magnificent snake!
03.01.2022 A lovely little Keelback snake found hiding underneath a roll of insulation at Pottsville. Commonly misidentified as an Eastern Brown snake as was the case with this one.
03.01.2022 Love this job discovering new spots like the call to a lovely quiet street in Bangalow to remove a coastal carpet python from the children’s toy cupboard.
02.01.2022 This poor eastern brown snake became stuck underneath a shed at Eungella. Don’t know how long but there was significant scale damage. Now in care with us under Tweed Valley Wildlife Carers licence until it can complete a whole shed skin. Thank you to the caller for contacting us immediately after it was seen.
02.01.2022 Relocation of a beautiful, healthy carpet python. Just checking it out as I always do. I have collected sick and injured snakes before so always cautious.
01.01.2022 Getting into cooler weather and some of our reptile friends are finding it hard to keep warm. This coastal carpet python was wrapped around a water heater trying to digest a full belly. The python was sooooo cold and has an old injury on its neck. Now warm and cosy whilst digesting it’s food.
