25.01.2022 Best of paddling to our Tweedies at Takapuna NZ this weekend.

25.01.2022 Awesome clip of 2018 Norfolk Ocean Challenge NOC .

24.01.2022 Who's taking the challenge ?We are ! We have a small contingent of TCO paddlers counting down the days, pumped and ready to go !

24.01.2022 A social day of paddling with a special purpose. Tweed Coast Outriggers, local community members, businesses and sporting clubs formed teams and donned their crazy themed costumes for a day of Dragon Boat paddling. TCO joined with the Murwillumbah, Mount Warning Dragon boat team to participate in the annual charity paddling event for the Kids In Need Association. It was a day of fun, friendship and frivolity as teams of 20, plus a drummer and steerer, competed in sprint events at Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Tweed Heads. If you’re a local, watch out for it next year and get down and join in the paddling fun . It’s for a good cause and you never know you might get hooked on paddling .

23.01.2022 Delivering for Tweed Heads exciting to announce that the Tweed Coast Outriggers will receive $12,000 in federal funding for the purchase of an OC6 canoe under... the Stronger Communities Programme. They will match the federal funding bringing the total value of the project to $24,000 for the new canoe. This purchase will have benefits for the whole community through increased access to our local waterways. Our local Stronger Communities Programme delivers funding across the Richmond electorate for small capital grants supporting projects that will contribute to the vibrancy and viability of our region. I’ll always fight to get our fair share from Canberra. This funding is part of the more than $2 billion that I’ve delivered for local roads, schools, health and community resources. See more

23.01.2022 TCO clubbies mixed it up for a great cause today at the Kids in Need dragon boat day. We came a respectable second place for the day by half a second! Besides a good excuse to dress up, it was a brilliant day for TCO. Well done team.

23.01.2022 Pls share among the clubs attending tomorrow's regatta. Trailer parking has been moved back to JACK BAYLISS park Marine Pde, Kingscliff. Just north of the bowling club and across from the police stn. This is due to the fantastic support of SQ zone clubs attending the regatta. The surf club trailer park is now too small to house us all!.... It is on your way in from the north along Marine Pde, where the national changes race trailer parking was last year. Just look for the cop shop and the park is on your ocean side. Canoes will need to be paddled around the the surf club for race venue.

15.01.2022 A fabulous Sunday out on the ocean ... a spot of whale watching. What an awesome, breathtaking experience ! Then when we're homeward bound back in the river, TCO lends some muscle and goodwill to helping out some folk in distress high and dry on the sandbank. We love our coastal paddles and our waterway playground ... So many wonderful surprises and good times for everyone to share

11.01.2022 A message from Jane Keogh Fry On behalf of Tweed Coast Outriggers - The day went off without a hitch!Thank You to everybody that came, participated & volunteere...d there resources and time. What a great day Fantastic day for the first V1 Super Series. Over 40 paddlers braved the wild winds!. You could choose to do 4,8, 12 or 16kms depending on how you felt. Then there was a forum of paddlers answering questions and helping others get their heads around paddling a canoe without a rudder!! Jordan Birtwistle, Jen Rassmussen, Paul Langley, Shania Paine and Mitch Olds were able to share their experiences with others. Dan Bova from Cronulla came up to give it a go! Most paddlers realised they could run as well as paddle!! This event was for the newbies as well as the more experienced. Thankyou to everyone who participated and volunteered to make this event a great success. Bring on Hervey Bay!!

09.01.2022 Lots of hard work, lots of medals and more importantly lots of fun at Norfolk Island!

08.01.2022 TCO took to the water today for a cause. We participated in the international event "Paddle for the Planet". Here on the Tweed Coast on the far north coast of New South Wales, we have magnificent inland waterways and pristine ocean seaways. Our paddling playground is perfect and precious to us and we recognise how important it is for everyone across the world to be respectful of our planet and its waterways. Our Paddle for the Planet today was a small, token effort on our part but was made more significant by the number of paddlers across the globe who joined us as together we all paddled for our planet this morning.

08.01.2022 Now the warmer weather is here it is a great time to try Outrigging. Dates will be announced shortly for our 'Come and Try' sessions!

08.01.2022 Hi there ... Anyone feel like getting their boot scootin' on? Well here's your chance to dust off your boots and come on down to Kirra to come dancing with us... Great bush band ... Guaranteed a great night will be had by all!

The staple pre/post race Aussie-sausage-sanga is available but there is also a range of even more delicious items. The locals have kicked in and offered discounts on fr...eshly brewed coffee. Be sure to grab a few tickets to be in the running for accommodation, Byron gourmet food, wine, or even some lingerie. Plenty of variety in this raffle! 02.01.2022 Let the long course begin ! TCO MMX, SMX, GMX enjoying perfect paddling conditions at Mooloolaba.

01.01.2022 A TCO contingent of 11 paddlers have recently returned from the Cook Islands after 18 fabulous days of OC6 ocean paddling and some incredibly beautiful cultural and Pacific island environment experiences. Paddling the Raratonga Vaka Eiva events outside the reef was exciting and challenging with the around Raro event presenting some 4m swells in parts for us to battle through! It was exhilarating to say the least and we are proud to say we achieved what we set out to do ... c...omplete the course around the island. In contrast, after a 40min flight we arrived on Aitutaki island to participate in the Motu 2 Motu event. The M2M course was set inside the beautiful blue waters of the Aitutaki lagoon. It was an amazing experience of paddling in paradise! Lots of new friendships were formed in our time in the Cooks. We loved every minute of our paddling adventure and even brought home some bling . Vaka Eiva and Motu 2 Motu are definitely must do paddling events for all paddlers ! Maybe TCO will see your crew there in 2018 ! See more
