Don't forget that to have your vote at the AGM you need to be a fully paid up member of the club for 2021. Also don't forget to maintain social distancing and if you are unwell please wear a mask. All current and new memberships are now due and need to be paid prior to or at the AGM for you to have your say. ALL CLUB POSITIONS WILL BE UP FOR NOMINATION so give careful thought to your votes and if you want a chance to fill any of these positions or you can help the club out in any way during 2021 please speak up . Thank you.

12.01.2022 Don't forget even if you are a NSW resident and you go out of the NSW bubble you will then not be allowed to go into Queensland as the rest of NSW is considered by Qld to be a hotspot.

11.01.2022 THE IMPORTANCE OF CORNER MARKERS CAN EVERYBODY PLEASE READ THIS (again) AND EXPLAIN IT TO OTHERS WHO MAY NOT KNOW SO WE MAKE SURE WE ALL GET IT RIGHT Corner Markers are of the utmost importance on our runs so can everyone please read this again and pass it on to all your friends. We announce this prior to each run but somehow it is still misunderstood by some. We will also announce where our first or next stop will be so please take the time to listen carefully before the f...irst and at each stop, if you don't hear it or are not sure please just ask . With the large amounts of motorcycles we get on the THMCEC runs it is very important that everyone knows about CORNER MARKERS as they are the ones who guide us all to our destinations on the day. Anybody who finds themselves behind the run leader (who is announced before the run but if you are not sure ask who it is) when they come to a turn becomes a CORNER MARKER for that corner and MUST stop in a prominent but safe position where the following riders can see them directing the way to go, they must also wait until "tail end charley" (who is also announced before the run starts but again if you are not sure please ask) comes past before leaving that corner otherwise whoever turns up next has no clue which way to go and possibly gets the day ruined for them and everyone who is behind them as well, sometimes you may have to wait on a corner for a prolonged period of time if there are a large number of bikes on the run or perhaps just some slower riders on the day etc, so remember IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A CORNER MARKER PLEASE DO NOT RIDE BEHIND THE RUN LEADER . If a club member or anyone else for that matter notices the 2nd bike has not stopped please do the right thing and mark the corner yourself to guide everyone else coming through. The ride leader and tail end Charley will be announced before each ride so please take the time to listen to whoever is speaking before the ride leaves so you know who and what bikes to look for. Please also pass this information on to anyone you know that may be attending a ride as well. Remember CORNER MARKERS are the key to everyone staying together and having a great day out with the THMCEC. Thank you. See more

09.01.2022 Great news for THMCEC members and guest who want to join in our rides. Looks like us border people will still be able to ride inside the NSW/Qld bubbles if we have the X pass and we may have to produce ID, please correct me if I am wrong. Click on the link at the bottom for the map of postcodes within the bubbles. TWEED AND GOLD COAST RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CROSS THE BORDER 'FOR ANY PURPOSE' Queensland Police say residents in the Tweed Shire and Gold Coast 'border zones' ...will be eligible to obtain an X-pass, allowing them to travel across the border for 'any purpose'. From 1am tomorrow, the border will be closed to all of New South Wales and the A-C-T, and continue to be closed to Victoria. Gold Coast Police Chief Superintendent Mark Wheeler says there will be a small number of exemptions for 'essential activities' like medical appoints. He says residents with X-passes won't be allowed to travel outside of the border zones. "That (X-pass) will allow them to travel across the border for any purpose, provided they remain within the border zone," Chief Inspector Wheeler said. "So it's really important if you live within the Tweed Shire Council or the Gold Coast City Council, you're able to freely travel between those areas, but you cannot leave that bubble." Part 2ABORDER ZONE RESIDENTS The border zone is the geographical area comprising the border communities within New South Wales and Queensland within the postcodes listed in Schedule 3 and represented visually on the Public Health Direction (COVID-19 Border Restrictions) Map approved by the CHO and published on the Queensland Health website. Note: a copy of the map is available at https://www.health.qld.gov.au//map-border-zones-qld-border A border zone resident who is a New South Wales resident is: permitted to enter and remain in the border zone within Queensland; and must not travel outside the border zone within Queensland, unless they are a construction worker attending a construction site outside the border zone; and they travel by private vehicle to and from the construction site without exiting the vehicle and do not leave the confines of the construction site; and must not enter Queensland if the resident had travelled in a COVID-19 hotspot outside the border zone within the 14 days prior to entering Queensland. A border zone resident who is a Queensland resident is: permitted to enter and remain in the border zone within New South Wales; and must quarantine in accordance with the requirements in Part 3 and Schedule 2 if the resident enters a COVID-19 hotspot outside the border zone. https://www.health.qld.gov.au//map-border-zones-qld-border HEALTH.QLD.GOV.AU www.health.qld.gov.au
