20.01.2022 We’re closing our TRAC Tweed Heads South facility for upgrade works. The pool will be closed from Monday 28 September for three weeks and is due to reopen on Monday 19 October. During this time customers and members are encouraged to use the TRAC facilities at Kingscliff or Murwillumbah (the outdoor 50m pool at Murwillumbah is now open!) ... The works will put the program pool on a separate water treatment system - this will mean an increased program pool temperature and result in more learn to swim classes and new warm water exercise activities. To comply with the current COVID-19 restrictions, everyone must pre-book their lane, class or activity prior to attending. To book and for more information, visit https://trac.tweed.nsw.gov.au/

17.01.2022 Well done to 14-year-old Xane Bowen who's been selected for the NSW Triathlon Academy! Also known as ROSTA (Rest of State Talent Academy) - the program aims to support athletes that don't have access to a Regional Academy of Sport due to their geographic location. Xane was selected as he finished third in the 2019/20 State Championships and had been due to race in the National All Schools Triathlon.... A fantastic result for a young athlete who puts in the work physically and mentally, learning everything he can to progress his performance. Xane started training seriously 4 years ago and has been a great member of the TRAC Swim Squad program. We have a number of junior athletes in TRAC swim squads who are triathletes. The squad program is divided into three tiers: 1 Developing Sharks. Improving the technique and fitness of the young swimmer. 2 Emerging Cadets. Increasing aerobic endurance with increased workload and emphasis on stroke technique. 3 Competitive Seniors. Striving to compete at state and national level. 15.01.2022 Check out these new Royal Life Saving videos for how to perform CPR. A great link to share with family and friends. Remember everyone is a lifesaver!

11.01.2022 What a beaut! Check out the new heater installed at TRAC Kingscliff. It’s up and running and the pool is at a magical 28.5 degrees. The installation process took a couple of days and thanks for your patience while the pool was closed.... The new heat pump is also more energy efficient and is part of Council’s commitment to reduce the environmental footprint of its operations. Coming for a swim? To comply with the current COVID-19 restrictions, everyone must pre-book their lane, class or activity prior to attending. Swimmers are reminded to stay home if unwell, to use cashless payments if possible, to observe physical distancing and to sanitize their hands before and after visiting. To book your next visit to a TRAC facility, and for more information on restrictions in place, visit https://trac.tweed.nsw.gov.au/
