07.01.2022 You might have heard that #Coronavirus (COVID-19) affects the #respiratory system and you might have questions around what this means for you, or your child if ...they have #asthma? There is no specific data as yet to determine if asthmatics are at a higher risk of contracting the virus. However, a common trigger for worsening asthma symptoms for asthma flare-ups or asthma attacks are respiratory infections such as colds and viruses. COVID-19 is a respiratory virus. From the information gathered so far, people with a chronic medical condition like asthma may be at more risk of a serious Coronavirus infection compared to those without chronic medical conditions. The primary point is to do what you can, as usual, to avoid cold and flu; pay close attention to personal #hygiene, wash hands regularly, avoid close contact with people with symptoms and obtain a flu vaccination as soon as possible. 05.01.2022 Amongst all the chaos, Tweed Day and Night Chempro Chemist are open our normal hours. All our staff are working hard to keep everyone supplied with their needs. To ensure the safety of our staff and others in the community please follow these simple requests: - Please do not present to the pharmacy if you are experiencing any of these symptoms. We ask that you call ahead on 0755365638 so that we can work with you & your GP to ensure you are able to access your medications. We... will continue to offer our FREE Thursday deliveries & will of course do our best to increase this to other days where we can. We ask that anyone who requests deliveries keeps their prescriptions on file and pays by card prior to delivery to minimise contact. - there is a restriction in place of ONE months worth of prescription medication. We are doing everything we can to ensure each & every one of our customers has access to their regular medications. If you stockpile you will only inflate any potential stock shortages for the future. - there is a restriction of ONE item per customer on all other items in the pharmacy. - To reduce the risk of spread we will no longer be asking you to sign for your prescriptions. We also ask for all payments to be made by card wherever possible to reduce cash handling by our team members. - We have implemented more cleaning & hygiene measures to protect the health of every customer who visits our pharmacy as well as each of our team members. We may have to do things a little differently but ask for your understanding & support. - Our team members are just like you, but will continue to turn up to the pharmacy every day to ensure you receive your medication as needed. Please be respectful & considerate. Prescription waiting times may be longer than you’re used to, you may have to wait a little longer to be served. We are doing everything we can to continue our high level of customer service but appreciate your patience & understanding during this unprecedented time.
