21.01.2022 There's a buzz around Pottsville after the discovery of a Loggerhead turtle nest on the beach. Early morning beachgoers found the tracks and contacted NSW Na...tional Parks and Wildlife Service. Australian Seabird Rescue Inc, NSW TurtleWatch - Citizen Science Nesting Program and NPWS have taken measurements of the nest as the beach profile can change quickly. NSW TurtleWatch volunteers will monitor the area over the next few months, watching for signs of predators, erosion, and hopefully hatchlings. Please remember to be respectful of the dunes where most sea turtles lay their eggs. Although this is a very exciting event in our area, we would like to remind you to be respectful of the site. It is a protected incubation site, so if you come across it, please steer clear. Don’t disturb the area surrounding it and do not allow your pets near it. The best chance these little ones have is if we stay away and let nature take its course. It's up to us to be responsible neighbours and let the nesting site be. If you find a sick or injured sea turtle on the beach, call Australian Seabird Rescue on 0428 862 852. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should email [email protected]

16.01.2022 I am looking to employ a couple of groundies for my arborist company. The season is humming along and I need extra help. It’s hot hard work but it’s outside in ...the fresh air and you get to work with a great bunch of guys. I need someone that is fit and strong, as it’s very physical. I am looking for someone that will turn up daily without excuses and put in a hard days work. Must have stamina as dragging trees is not for the person who gives up easily. Experience is obviously desirable but attitude and willing to learn is just as important. Loud mouth know it all’s won’t fit into the crew. We work together and we work hard. If you think you can handle it send me a message. We are based in Arana Hills on the northside of Brisbane but we cover most of the southeast from Sunny Coast to the Goldie and Ipswich to Redland Bay.
