03.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnUe_8WS7xo This documentary, directed by Gary Doust, was a finalist at 2009 Tropfest Australia. It captures the spirit of one small Aussie town, when a semi-trailer carrying pallets of beer crashed into the river just before Easter time. ... The 40,000 beer bottles were from the James Squire, Malt Shovel Brewery, marked 'MSB' (soon to be known as Murwillumbah Swamp Beer). The driver was lucky and managed to swim to safety, but the salvage operation had to be suspended because of heavy holiday traffic. On Good Friday beer started coming to the surface with a lot of help from the thirsty locals who descended on the sunken treasure with snorkels, flippers and possibly scuba gear. The whole fiasco made national news and a couple of locals who were being interviewed told the BBC that diving for beer was like the ultimate dream come true. It was a very Happy Easter!
