13.01.2022 As I’m sure you are all aware Covid 19/ Corona Virus continues to spread. We need to do all we can to protect ourselves and our most vulnerable ie the elderly and immunocompromised. Following several discussions the TUA Executive has decided that for any members returning from any overseas destination there is now a requirement of non-attendance at TUA for a period of 14 days. This timeframe may be adjusted inline with further information given by the WHO and or Australia...’s Chief Medical Officer. If you develop a sore throat or fever please stay home from TUA and see your G.P. Our greatest protection is avoiding crowds and thorough hand washing. Keep smiling through all the madness. Best Regards Louise

09.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and managing life with the social distancing rules. I did hope that by end of April we would be seeing our way clear of the rules as we see them right now, and have something more positive to share . However... As per best Health Advice we still don’t have a return to TUA date.... There will be no end of June Open Weekend . In lieu of this I propose we make the end of November a Christmas Spectacular. As the measures lift surely we will be well and truly back by then, fingers crossed. As per TUA Constitution we have 6 months from end of our financiaI year 31stMarch till 30 Sept in which to hold our AGM and present the Audit of books. So given the unusual situation we will continue as is for now. Any queries give me a call 0438244534. Stay home, stay safe and stay happy. Kind Regards Louise

01.01.2022 CLOSURE OF TWEED UNLIMITED ARTS - A temporary measure I have been closely following the information and advice from Australia’s Chief Medical Officer in order to make an informed decision in relation to the temporary closure of TUA. Considering the Easter School Holidays are almost upon us; this may result in a possible influx of families out in the community. Unfortunately not everyone will self isolate during this time.... Social distancing is advised to be 1.5 metres from others, making TUA unworkable. After consulting with all members of the Executive it has been decided that from this Friday 20th March 2020 TUA will not be open for classes. I do anticipate returning on Monday 27th April 2020. This coincides with students returning to school. Hopefully by then the worst of Covid will have passed. If there is any change to this you will be notified. This is a blanket closure with no exceptions. I do apologise for the inconvenience however we need to heed the health advice received in order to ensure the good health of as many of us as possible. I wish you all the best over this unsettling period. Louise Hilson
