20.01.2022 We have a final tally from all of our efforts for The Power of Pink 2020 - $22,686.75!!!! This is by far the biggest one ever in 11 years. This amount is directly donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who are focussed on research to find a cure. Huge thank you to all the people who supported the event this year, which I mistakenly thought might be a low key affair... Summerland Dressage Club & Tweed Coast Jump Club were such an asset to our event making it bigger than ever, thank you Thank you riders and auction bidders without you it wouldn’t happen. The thousands of dollars of products and services which local and businesses from afar eagerly donated always makes me feel very humbled, thank you. Blue Ribbon Photography yet again managed to capture some beautiful moments and show the spirit of the event, thank you Brittney I am truly grateful for all the support the committee and my family give me on this crazy venture each year. Thank you Keighley

18.01.2022 November Presidents Report Hi Members and Friends, What a year 2020 has been and it’s already November. I trust all your families are safe.... We have been lucky to be able to get back to running some events and activities for our members with the constant reminders to social distance, wash hands and stay home if you are unwell. Since our last meeting we had a Tuesday training, not many horses but those who did attend were appreciative of the club’s efforts to continue to run these. Special thanks to Di Baxter for being there with helpful tips. TVEG will be looking for a co-ordinator for training days next year. The Club Championships ran smoothly. Special thanks to all those behind the scenes, Kim Jackson finding judges and doing the draw, Amanda Bartyn for setting up the scoring and keeping on top of the website, Keighley Leeson for sorting programs and DQ Leader board and Libby Bow for checking all the entries. We must mention how lucky we are to have grounds that are kept in such good condition. Despite some rain they rode very well. The gear check, set up team, writers and scorers thank you, without them this would not go ahead. Thank you judges, especially Libby as she stepped up on the day. A successful Geraldine Eady Clinic held at Nicole Browne’s. So good to have the covered arena as it was a hot day. She may have a date for us in December. We still have a Ricky McMillan Clinic on 29th Nov. This is full with reserves but if you are interested please contact me. (Ange 0407662883) One more Tuesday training, weather permitting on Dec 1st. The AGM and 2020 Annual awards date will be set at this meeting for January sometime. I will hand over the reins at the AGM. I feel it’s time for a new energetic, enthusiastic person to take over the Presidency. All of you have skills and strengths check out some of the jobs and see what part you could help out with volunteer Co ordinator, set up, writers, scoring, pack up, canteen and judges lunches, covid regulations (signage, cleaning, sign in and out), health officer, concussion officer, Tuesday training, other training days etc etc Of course, we also encourage your input for what you would like the club to run. Happy riding, a Happy Healthy and Safe Christmas and Very Best Wishes for 2021, may it run smoothly and be remembered differently to 2020 TVEG President Ange Beresford

07.01.2022 TVEG Presidents Report Oct 2020 Hello Members and Friends, How lovely is it to see some rain! We are very lucky to be living in such a safe part of the world, keep washing hands, keeping a safe distance and stay home if you feel unwell.... It’s been another busy month. Tuesday training was a productive day for those that attended. Thank you, Di Baxter, for tuning riders up for the Power of Pink. A big Geraldine Eady Clinic, thank you Geraldine. Nothing but positive feedback from riders. We have one more date booked for this year, 15th Nov at Nicole Browne’s. Congratulations Keighley Leeson, you put together an amazing weekend of Dressage and Show jumping for Power of Pink. Thank you Dragons Abreast, sponsors (especially Elite Horse and Pet Products), donators, judges, writers, scorers, gear check, set up and pack down and all those amazing people behind the scenes. The Auction was huge and we look forward to the outcome, thank you all for joining in. The remaining dates for 2020 are: Nov 3rd - Training Day Nov 8th Club Championships Nov 15th Geraldine Eady Clinic Nov 29th Ricky McMillan Clinic Dec 1st Final Tuesday Training Day Plus, AGM and End of Year awards date to be confirmed. Good luck in the Higher School Certificate to our amazing scorer Genevieve Spencer. At the AGM there are always opportunities to join the Committee and play more of a role in how things are run and organised. Please look around and see who may be interested in being President, each person takes this role on and uses their strengths to keep the Club going. Over the hot summer please take the time to check out some of the EA rules. As riders it is our responsibility to know and follow them. Not only the equipment we can use but also warm up rules. Not knowing what is allowed may lead to the disappointment of being eliminated. Look forward to working with everyone to make the Club Championships a great finale to a challenging year. Stay safe and enjoy your ponies. Ange Beresford
