19.01.2022 This kid! 1st in the QLD Super Sprint Youth A Final. After a couple of days racing where things didn’t go to plan Xane came out today and raced like a champio...n ... he was sitting in good standing 4th place on to the run with some great talent up front. Xane laid it down and made his way to the front with 800 to go. It’s all heart and guts from there. Legendary mate. Thankyou for showing us your true nature when your back was against the wall . Big thanks to @triathlonqueensland and volunteers for cracking on with the weekend in the poor conditions. Xane 3rd overall for the points score Congratulations to Bamford and Beale for their performances. Please have a read through the event briefing notes below to help .‘streamline’ our event... Covid Notes : Please adhere to 1.5m Social distancing and Sanitisation policy of TRAC / Consider showering at home to help with event wrap up and Covid policy of 8 people per change room THURSDAY 5:45 - Arrive early ready for lane allocation and cash registrations if applicable 6:00 - 1Hr Swimmers / 30/30 Team mate 1 starts swimming Lap Recording - Distance 30/30 Teams - 1 team mate will count distance whilst the other swims 1 Hr individual - Options - Bring a supporter to count your distance - Use a Gps watch with swim mode synced to 50m Pool - Use a stopwatch - (will be available on the evening) checking distance at intervals e.g. 500m / 1000m so you know your counting is on track - Eg 1km @ approx 1:45 per 100 = 17:30, 2K = 35 mins, 3K = 52:30 . 07.01.2022 Helmets The correct wearing of helmets is compulsory in triathlon events during the cycle leg. You must fasten your helmet on your head correctly before you take your bike off its rack and not unfasten or take it off until you have put the bike back on the rack after your cycle leg. See attachment below for a diagram and instructions about the correct way to fasten helmets.
