24.01.2022 We had our first overnight guest using our Tesla charger last month! Mr Peter Hayes had been traveling around Australia in his Model 3 and decided to stay with us along the way. He even has a blog of his adventure: teslamodel3highwayone.wordpress.com Thanks to Peter for being our first! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.

23.01.2022 Odd one today, a guest arrived to a Xmas time full house expecting a room with two Queen beds but what had been reserved with booking.com was one Queen bed. It got even stranger when the guest showed me the Agoda email where he had booked a room with 2 Queen beds. Turns out the Agoda app will make reservations through booking.com but they have the mapping wrong between the two computer systems. Of course both companies blamed each other. As a result I have been forced to disable access to both booking.com and Agoda. If you want to book online either use our website or use Expedia. Booking.com 0/10 Agoda 0/10 Expedia 10/10

16.01.2022 On the 26th October for one performance only, The Tweed Heads Civic Centre will be the venue for a Benefit Concert held in aid of the Jamieson family. Neptune Theatre Company and Voice Weavers Choir will be performing many musical highlights from musical theatre including a reprise of songs from the recently performed Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Whistle Down the Wind.

16.01.2022 Vegas Motel is high and dry during the Cyclone Debbie floods. The Gold Coast may be closed and Murbah going under but we are open for business Fri 31 March. The airport seems to be open although some flights were cancelled last night.

Thank you to Margaret and John, our relief managers, who have done a fantastic job looking after everything over the past 5 weeks! 11.01.2022 Room 34 is almost back to the selling pool after a bathroom renovation that was delayed by our Vietnam trip. The kids put in a mammoth effort today and we repainted the room in 4 hours! New carpet on Tuesday. Room 34 will become a new Deluxe Twin with 2 Queen beds.
