24.01.2022 There are a fair few new followers to this page, so it's time for an introduction . My name is Richa, I am 'mumma' to two amazing children, my husband is my rock and I call Western Australia home (at the moment). I believe that every human is worthy of being part of whichever community they reside in, and should not have to feel unseen,unheard, undervalued just because they are from a country outside of Australia. ... However, sometimes these very segments of our communities feel left out because of the covert racism that exists, right under the surface. This kind of rejection, creates a huge gap in confidence of abilities, value addition, contributions of such minority groups. Dual Nation hopes to be that stepping point to bridging that gap - simple designs that are hand- placed on different merchandise- and BOOM ! you have invested into a very open-ended conversation starter. I am the designer, creator, marketing head, PR person, the mail woman, supply chain and logistics head, packaging supervisor, website maintenance head, social media manager (& everything else in between) human behind Dual Nation. I am also the host of 'The Same Same but Different podcast' (shameless plug y'all ), and a Mentor and Coach. 15.01.2022 How many countries are in the world? Well, 195 according to the United Nations, 206 according to Olympic nations and 249 ISO standard countries. Along with huge amounts of migration (and therefore meeting, falling in love,making babies....) ... ...you may not see some of the country combinations listed on the Dual Nation website, y'all...because of facts. Those kind of unique country combinations fall under the custom design area. All you have to do is get in touch with me, I'll create your magical design. 11.01.2022 How was the weekend everyone? At Dual Nation HQ, it was one of testing out, my designs, new 'blank' merch. And boy oh boy, did these go through the test.... I created the designs, cut them out and then pressed them onto the 'blank' merchandise - and then after an overnight 'curing', threw them in the wash,dried them in the sun ( all inside out, mind you) - and stretched them to see how they would fare. I'd say, not bad, yes? Also, these are Part 2 of that special order I am so chuffed to be able to create. ** I love custom designs, and testing them out on new merchandise - so if you'd like to see your #sliceofpride on anything - get in touch. ** Oh and happppppyyyyy Monday :)

10.01.2022 On today at the Welcome Lotteries House, co-chaired with another amazing business star Marg Bertling. 2 different businesses, 2 different ways of being business owners and yet at the core - heart. Am I nervous? A bit, only because its been a minute since I've taken on a face-to-face event where I am delivering my way of doing business. ... Am I wondering if my journey will empower another to take that leap of faith ? I sure hope so. Am I wondering if the audience will have great light bulb moments ? Of course I am - when people consciously sign up to learn, they come with open minds and always take away nuggets of gold. What I AM certain of is that "Strength lies in differences", it is these differences that add so much depth,perspective and insight to any journey. 07.01.2022 Guess what ? Dual Nation has gone fully compostible ! In the packaging that is, your merchandise still needs to be disposed of responsibly by you. ... In the past 3 years (and counting), I've used the Australia Post mailer bags + a plastic satchel to package all of your orders ( I know, I know 3 years is too long !) .... Now, any and every order will be packaged in fully compostible packaging for both the mailer bag + the weather safe-keeping package inside. Why ? Because, just like you I want to do my part for this planet. I am still using Australia Post, because only one small business knows what supporting another means + being in regional Australia I don't have fancy-schmancy postal options. { Having said fancy-schmancy, I would STILL use Australia post, cuz well I believe in supporting small business} All orders this week were posted with BEAMING pride by me, with HUGE smiles from my posties too. 01.01.2022 2 day weekend, 5 day work week - whoever made that happen is a real jerk ! I kid you not. Its the first day of school for my cherubs, amidst a 5 day lockdown for for Perth families. + there is a tropical cyclone looming above our heads in Karratha.... The local grocery stores are devoid of food,vegetables and bread ! We are in a state of limbo here in Karratha, waiting to hear about any families who may have been in Perth, during those fateful days and have, unbeknownst to them brought the virus to our 20,000+ regional town + we are wondering how bad this cyclone is going to be. What a Monday to wake up to, yes? Yet, silver linings exist everywhere - we've just got to look for them. Deliveries of orders placed over the past week, healthy children, a zest for living.....and a new start each day. How are things at your end? Stay safe everyone, and stay kind.
