25.01.2022 If our future is going to be fair, you need to stop and look at this iced coffee. Rural communities are quietly helping each other, while metro media reports speculate that country people are set to flee to the city. In the country, different stories are being created. Like the community initiative that led to this iced coffee. Victoria has no growth strategy for country towns. The winds of population perceptions largely drive the decisions on where we live, which is why the... story of a country iced coffee needs to be told. 24.01.2022 At a time when good news can seem hard to find, Terry Kay has a great story to tell and Global Recycling Day 18 March 2020 has got to be the right day to tell it. Terry and his wife Lauren have spent their lives developing stormwater drainage pipes out of recycled plastic at RPM Pipes in Central Victoria. How can one of the most boring products known to man become a fixation for these two? ... The fact is, there are stormwater pipes alongside each side of virtually every residential street in Australia and almost none of those pipes have been recycled, until now. This year the Victorian Government announced they would finally level the playing field, ensuring that their projects used recycled products first if they were available. Given that RPM’s pipes each use the equivalent of up to 5000 used milk bottles, and Australia has been struggling to work out what to do with its left over plastic, this is really great news for the environment, once the government start buying Terry’s pipe. Most importantly, it’s a great tribute to the remarkable Kay family, who have persevered for 20 years through tough times, simply because they believed that our left over plastic should be turned into valuable products. Think of Terry and Lauren's sacrifices to get this far, next time you put a milk bottle into your recycling bin. Then ask your engineering friends and local Council how many recycled pipes they are using. Share some good news about our #RecyclingHeroes. #GlobalRecyclingDay2020 #GoodNewsStory #RPMPIPES #VictorianManufacturing

20.01.2022 ’ ’ . The virtual loss of Bass Strait has opened up the Tasmanian higher education market to a host of well-resourced raiders, particularly from Victoria, meaning the good folk at UTas have a lot more to worry about than real estate prices being paid for new university buildings in Hobart. 19.01.2022 Our school leavers deserve better and for all the trauma it has caused, COVID-19 is bringing change. Swinburne, La Trobe and Charles Sturt universities have now joined most in WA, and others across the country, to abandon sole fealty to the TACs and make direct offers to school leavers alongside the traditional options. #highered #highereducation #university #higheredmarketing #australianuniversities #schoolleavers

14.01.2022 Professor Schmidt may have some challenges ahead in providing Open Day access for students of talent but no hacking ability, but he is far from alone. After a fulfilling season of visiting 17 university open days, whiling away lockdown weekends in a frenzy of clicks, muttering, time testing and note taking, I was unable to access the University of Melbourne’s Virtual open day at all. #highered #highereducation #university #higheredmarketing #australianuniversities #openday #openday2020 #universityofmelbourne

12.01.2022 After 10 years of working at home, in cars, in client's offices and of course, occasionally in our own office, the Twig team have systems and habits in place to work remotely as part of our everyday activity. It was a tough learning curve early on, as we transitioned from office roles to nomadic work, so we have put together a list of tips that we have picked up to help you and your staff transition to working from home. Check out our Transition Toolkit at http://twigmarketin...g.com/transition-toolkit/ At Twig, we will continue to work with organisations that need our support - just as we always do. We want to contribute to enabling positive, effective online cultures for teams at this challenging time. Our Zoom channel is always open!

10.01.2022 Swintopia has blown the field wide open in terms of technological wizardry for this year’s crop of virtual open days, in a year when student engagement and university events have had to lurch almost exclusively into the digital realm. But has the rush to embrace technology resulted in an online event that fails to deliver a compelling or even a useful user experience? #highered #highereducation #university #higheredmarketing #australianuniversities #openday #openday2020 #swintopia

09.01.2022 Its been a busy month here at Twig Marketing. Our team are extremely passionate about what we do and we aren't afraid to get amongst it and get involved outside the office. Last week we had the pleasure of spending the day out of the office and in the sun at RPM Pipes. We joined forces with the RPM Pipes team to create a large scale demonstration of the number of recycled plastic products that go into a single 630mm (6 metres long) RPM pipe. Head over to RPM Pipes to learn m...ore about the demonstration and see it close up. We think it's pretty amazing! #marketer #marketingthatmatters #ruralmarketing #passionate

04.01.2022 Twig Marketing is proud to announce the launch of our newest division, Rocketshop! Over the past ten years Twig Marketing has built up a steady client base surrounds our core focus in higher education strategy and marketing services. However, after we relocated our head office to Shepparitn in 2015, we steadily built up more regional clients while continuing our work in the higher education sector. The challenge of being one company using a consistent approach to quality ser...vice delivery across multiple sectors has led to a branding challenge which has become increasingly evident during the tumultuous months of 2020. Thus, Rocketshop was born! Our newest division has been created because we needed a dedicated focus on the services that we deliver in destination marketing and marketing strategies and services for country businesses. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us and we all know we are in this together. . #rocketshop #twigmarketing #regionalmarketing #highereducationmarketing #ruralmarketing #livecountry #sheppartonbusinesses
