24.01.2022 Here are 4 Cypress pine garden beds we built for Nicole Smith in Upwey.

16.01.2022 The new wire roller attachment has made the fencing job a lot easier and safer to handle theses heavy rolls.

11.01.2022 Twin Hives is excited to be apart of Glenn and Louise’s garden design starting with a 10 x 30 netted enclosure in Seville for their journey to self sufficiency. Next stay tuned as next year we create their edible landscape inside.

10.01.2022 Next stage on this netted enclosure is the galvanised steel hoops and supports.

10.01.2022 This is the time to start preparing your vegetable patch for spring planting. Here at Twin hives we rejuvenated these garden beds with fresh compost and organic fertiliser to kick start the soil for spring. Just remember it’s not time for planting your seedlings out yet as the soil temperatures are still to cold. We tend to plant out seedings on October.

07.01.2022 The first netted enclosure we have started after the restrictions were lifted from the Covid-19 lock down This is an interesting designed enclosure has it is 57 meters long and its varying from 10mtrs to 14mtrs back to 7.5mtrs to fit around the existing established fruit trees and water tanks. Stay tuned for more progression photos

07.01.2022 This year at Twin hives we have been trialing weed matting in the potato and strawberry patch with great success of no weeding and better growth from the plants. We have already harvested a lot of strawberries and still plenty more to come.

07.01.2022 Its cold wet weather here today at Twin hives. A great place to be working in the greenhouse at a nice 20 degrees. With my little helper.

06.01.2022 We have finished this large netted enclosure in Lysterfield. 57 mtrs long, from 10mtrs out to 14mtrs then back to 7.5mtrs to fit around the existing established orchard and water tanks. Built using quad netting all around, as per the Victorian regulations. Galvanised aus wire mesh with side skirts for predator proofing , and with high sidewalls to allow bees and other pollinators in. 2 large galvanised doors allow good access for larger machinery and 1 small access door, all with concrete pads.
