24.01.2022 Special Guest Speaker Toni Cameron held the ladies enthralled with her memories of her father Jack Evans, Entrepreneur & Hero who saved many lives whilst building entertaining businesses. Most remembered the Porpoise Pool and some were honeymooners who actually got to feed the Dolphins. Thank you Toni for a most interesting day. 23.01.2022 Twin Towns Day Girls enjoyed our final meeting for 2018 with a Christmas Theme everyone looked very festive and happy. Gifts were presented to the South Tweed Sports Club staff and a special Framed Certificate of Appreciation was given for CEO Angus Southwell for the club sponsoring a Learning for Life student. Mike Music provided great entertainment with everyone joining in the songs. 21.01.2022 The ladies of Twin Towns Day were informed and entertained by special guest speaker Linda Robertson who is a nurse/ carer who had worked in PNG and traveled and cared for patients going to Beijing for stem cell treatment. 19.01.2022 Twin Towns Day were privileged to have the company of Past National President Lyn Geer at the April meeting. Lyn updated us on some of the happenings in VIEW and encouraged all to continue to support our 7 Learning for Life students. Special guest speaker was Rod Preston from Australia Post who informed and entertained the ladies with his amusing mix of historical facts. 18.01.2022 Notable Mother and Daughter team enjoyed the Tweed Coast Birthday Celebrations recently. Judy Ann Parker and her Mother are pictured Judy has been a member of VIEW for nearly 40 years with her mother joining later. Another example of VIEW bringing families together and enjoying supporting The Smith Family.

15.01.2022 The Merry Month of May was the Theme for our 51st Birthday Celebrations. Ladies contributed to the festive atmosphere by adding flowers to their attire. President Kathie welcomed visitors from other clubs and NC Rosie & ZC Margaret were welcome guests. Entertainment by Romain was a delight and through everyone’s generous support our L For L students sponsored through The Smith Family are ensured of continued support.
15.01.2022 Thank You to everyone who supported our Portifino Fashion Parade today. A large number of members and friends went home with the latest summer fashions which will serve them well for many happy months ahead. Roz from Portofino made a generous donation which will go towards supporting our Learning For Life Students. Pictured are: Roz showing one of her special items. President Beth addressing the ladies. 14.01.2022 Unfortunately Martin from Brook Farm Gin Distillery was unable to come. We wish him a speedy recovery, see you in 2020 Martin. We were extremely fortunate that our lovely Freda brought the talented Rose grower John BENNETT who gave us some valuable information on the growing of Roses in this area. John is also a well respects judge at many of the Rose Shows. Thank you John. Another happy, friendly and informative day was enjoyed by all. 12.01.2022 One of the special guests at the Tweed IWD celebrations was former Learning for Life Student, Jasmine Dall’Aqua, it was through the good efforts of National Councillor, Rosie Macdermott, that she attended. Jasmine thanked The Smith Family and the ladies of VIEW for their assistance in making her dreams come true. Jasmine is currently studying for her Masters in Teaching & Business, she Mentors Music for the Disadvantaged and works evenings at the Taxation Office to support herself and her ageing carer. A wonderful human being who made us all proud. WELL DONE JASMINE

A Formal VIEW meeting isn’t possible as yet but it’s always a pleasure to connect with good friends. Looking forward to seeing you there.
12.01.2022 These lovely Treasures will greet members as they come to our final meeting for 2018. It will be held on 6th December at the South Tweed Sports Club starting at 10.30. Cost is $25.00. It will be a festive occasion with Secret Santa Gifts given out by our Xmas Fairy Jennifer. Entertainment will be provided and a traditional Christmas Lunch will be enjoyed. 10.01.2022 Our final meeting for 2019 was a Joyous occasion. Members were entertained by singer Rhydian and much hilarity was enjoyed as he joined the ladies in The 12 Days of Christmas. The day was made complete by the messages from some of our 7 Learning for Life students who we sponsor through The Smith Family. Federal Member for Richmond, Justine Elliott brought along a surprise guest Kristina Keneally who reminded us that The Smith Family’s Learning for Life is essential because education transforms lives.
