23.01.2022 A girl at the very beginning of her pointe training, Kayla has been blessed with lovely high arches. There is a common misconception that students with high arches will find pointe work really easy. The reality is that these students need to work extra hard to build and maintain the strength required to support the body weight on this type of foot. It is a blessing, but its one that requires a lot of hard work. I am enjoying helping Kayla build the strength shes going to need. x

21.01.2022 Well, I almost doubled the number of classes and still there are only a few spots left! If you've been thinking about coming along but haven't booked in yet, do so quickly so you don't miss out. There are waiting lists for the classes that are booked out. The sooner you get your name on the list the sooner you will be given a spot. What a fun term we are going to have!!!

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, There are some very exciting things happening behind the scenes at Twinkle Toes Toddler Ballet at the moment! First, there is a rebranding of the ballet school that Twinkle Toes Toddler Ballet is part of. This school, formally known as Tasmanian Ballet School, is now changing to Prima Ballet Academy.... As part of the streamlining of the running of the school, I am amalgamating both of the Facebook pages. Hopefully having one Facebook page to manage will be a lot easier than trying to work with two separate pages for the same ballet school. What do you need to do? Absolutely nothing! The Twinkle Toes page is the one I've always been most active on so we will all stay here and I'll just make some changes to include the rest of the school. The name of this page will change to "Prima Ballet Academy" but you will get all of your Twinkle Toes information on here still. There will be a new instagram page and website launched soon! If that wasn't all exciting enough, we are about to introduce ballet parties! These will be perfect for birthday parties (or anything else you choose to celebrate). 14.01.2022 2019 was a little different to 2020 but the kids are still so committed to their ballet classes and some are even still excitedly preparing for upcoming exams!

13.01.2022 On Thursday and Friday this week we had our RAD grades exams. I couldn’t be more proud of every dancer who participated. It was wonderful to see all of the hard work they’ve put in through this challenging year really pay off. Everyone danced their absolute best and had a fantastic time. Congratulations wonderful ballerinas!

12.01.2022 Can you believe it? Tomorrow (Sunday) is Lachlan's first birthday! Because of this, I am going to attempt to have a work-free day. 12.01.2022 Over the last week we have been so lucky to work with the amazing Zara from Zara Maree Photography. Zara was a ballet student of mine for many years and has used her knowledge of classical technique to capture some absolutely amazing photos. I cant wait to start sharing them with you all!

Every single student, whether participating in exams or not, has achieved so much this year and should be very proud of themselves. ... The program was designed by a qualified ballet teacher and mother of one of the Twinkle Toes dancers. Therefore, this program is like no other toddler dance program offered in Tasmania. Some of the unique aspects of the program include...... * Parents are not asked to wait outside. In fact, parents and siblings are invited to come along and even join in some of the dances with their little ones. * It is taught by a qualified ballet teacher (Royal Academy of Dance). * Classes available in Kingston, Bellerive, Moonah and New Norfolk. *No uniform requirement. Your little dancer can wear whatever they are most happy with and whatever makes your morning as easy as possible. * Children are invited, not commanded, to participate in the dances. Your child will be encouraged to join in the dances but if there is something they don't want to do, that's perfectly ok. * Age appropriate dances. Children will fly like fairies and bounce like bunny rabbits. "Mature" dance moves are not part of the program. * Your child will NOT be put on stage.
