06.01.2022 When you look at the ingredients in the things you buy it doesn't always just say 'sugar'. It can be listed in many different ways. These are some examples you should watch out for

04.01.2022 READING FOOD LABELS CAN BE TRICKY! What to look for on the food label: When deciding between products based on their sugar content, look at the amount of sugar per 100 grams (g). This will allow you to compare ‘apples with apples.’ If you use the sugar per serve value, you may be comparing ‘apples with oranges’ instead.... It is best to look for foods with 5g or less sugar per 100g. Between 5g and 10g is okay also. If a product has over 15g of sugar per 100g, it may be best to find a healthier alternative. Not all products will advise the amount of added sugars present as a value on the label. To check for added sugars, it is best to read the list of ingredients, which are usually found at the base of the label. The higher an ingredient is to the top of the list, the more of it is present within the item. Did you know that sugar can go by over 50 names? This can make it tricky identifying all the sources of sugar in a food product. It is not just the obvious foods such as lollies and cakes that include sugar. Look out for hidden sugars in foods such as cereals and sauces.

03.01.2022 It's important to make sure you don't neglect your health and make sure you keep your regular screening appointments like coming to the dentist for your checkup. Are you overdue?? Give us a call today on 9098 6488 and book it in.

03.01.2022 Dentists are now operating at ‘Level 2’ restrictions. We are unable to do your regular checkup and clean at the moment, however we are able to do certain treatments under strict guidelines. If you’re experiencing a dental problem it’s best to call us and talk with our reception staff. You will be screened for any cold/flu symptoms and then if appropriate you will be offered an appointment to assess and potentially treat your problem.... Please be understanding if your treatment is deemed unable to be completed under the current restrictions but we will endeavour to get you comfortable. This is a decision that has been made to ensure the safety of the broader community. Our receptionists are taking calls as per our normal opening hours (with the exception of Saturdays) and our dentists are providing treatment on limited days. If we are unable to answer the phone please leave us a message with your name and phone number and we will call you back ASAP. Stay safe. Stay well
