20.01.2022 Obsessed with my new Cricut Australia + New Zealand storage corner that Mr Twins and A Blog upcycled for me from an old Myer locker from a construction site (it was filled with visitor stickers back from Grace Brothers days!) We don't have enough space for me to have a craft room, and the laundry was becoming ridiculous from trying to store all my stuff! Rust paint is from FX Australia P/L and he built a wooden base with wheels for easy cleaning/if we we want to move it.

19.01.2022 My first Cricut Foil Transfer project - a Swiss Cheese plant label with gold foil on Cricut Leather! The Cricut Foil Transfer System is an attachment which is compatible with Cricut Maker & Explore machines and is pressure activated. It comes with a fine, medium and bold tip and works on a variety of materials including cardstock and leather. On this project, I used a label image (#M40F07) with text using the writing font 'Ellie Olivia' all from Cricut Design Space. I ...used Cricut Pebble Faux Leather in brown. The foil detail using the intricate writing fonts is stunning! This is a great way to label plants or to have personalised messages/names for gifts! What do you think? 16.01.2022 *ATTENTION SANTA'S HELPERS* Elf on the Shelf is arriving soon from the North Pole!! Traditionally EotS arrives during the week of 24 November (TODAY) to 1 December (ours arrives on 1 December) so NOW is the time to FIND your elf/elves (or quickly head to the North Pole aka the shops) As you may know I am a bit of an EoTS enthusiast...just a bit so *watch this space* for what our elves, Elfie & Christmas get up to this year!! ... This is our 4th year doing EoTS, check out all the fun and ideas here on Instagram @twinsandablog #elfontheshelftwinsandablog From the @elfontheshelf website: "Elf on the Shelf is a special Scout Elf sent from the North Pole to help Santa Claus manage his naughty and nice lists. When a family adopts a Scout Elf and gives it a name, the Scout Elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa Claus about all of the day's adventures. Each morning, the Scout Elf returns to its family and perches in a different place to watch the fun. Children love to wake up and race around the house looking for their Scout Elf each morning." Who LOVES the magic of Christmas!?! Are you Santa's little helper too? Hands up if you Elf/Elves arriving at their house this year, and what are their names?? Here are a few of my faves from the past few years! @elfontheshelf #elfontheshelfau @flourish_pr #elfontheshelfideas #elfontheshelf #elfontheshelf2020

12.01.2022 So much fun at a wreath making class last night with my amazing kindy mummas! I haven't done anything like this before so had no idea what was in store for me but it was very therapeutic, lots of fun and is an incredible night with friends! The wreath can hang on the door or be used as a table centre piece (I think I'll use it for the table). The inner foam can be topped up with water to keep it fresh, or the arrangement can be dried out to make an everlasting wreath! Loooving the gorgeous native flowers and foliage (typical husband Mr Twins and A Blog 's first words out of his mouth was, 'who died?') Flower Academy by Ola ClassBento

11.01.2022 Happy Birthday Piper!! Such a fun day and beautiful weather at Yurramundi River

10.01.2022 Wash | Dry | Fold | Repeat We are excited to have the Little Tikes First Washer and Dryer from @officiallittletikes! With my gazillion loads of washing each week with a family of 6, I didn't realise how much the kids took notice of our everyday chores because they knew exactly how to use Little Tikes First Washer and Dryer! Without prompting they knew how to put the clothes into the drum, put in the detergent, switch it on, watch the machine spin and take the clothes out ...to fold! The washer and dryer includes a tumbling drum, realistic sounds like dials turning, spinning drum sounds, beeps, and more to really extend the pretend play for hours. This is their new favourite toy that is compact and it is a great size for them to play with it by themselves, together or little friends. Do your kids take an interest to your everyday chores and appliances? What is their favourite household appliance to play/help with? 07.01.2022 Aiming for zero screen time for the rest of the weekend!! How long do you think we'll last? Are you at home or out and about on this beautiful spring day!? This is a water play pool - $59 from Costco Wholesale Australia which is Costco sized big for lots of kids - such great value! The girls are also wearing a rashie ($10) & bottom ($8) from BIG W which is my fave for this summer - took me a while to find a long sleeve 2 piece in a print that I love so it's easy for them to go to the toilet - this is a size 3 which fits the girls perfectly and the boys are wearing their Rock Your Baby boardies & rashies 3rd year in a row - they've just gotten taller and skinnier over the years and these swimmers have stayed in great condition after so much wash & wear!

07.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated Mid Autumn Festival! Keeping the Chinese tradition alive with the kids by lighting lanterns and eating mooncake (a pastry with a bean paste filling). Does anyone else celebrate Mid Autumn/Mooncake festival?

04.01.2022 New Christmas Tees! How to Make Bleach Spray Tshirts: 1. Choose a base.... Use a plain coloured/black top (a white tee is obv not going to work). I cut the sleeves off black tees for the boys to make singlets and cut a few inches off the bottom of the girls tees to make it a cropped top! 2. Make a stencil. I used Cricut Australia + New Zealand to make my stencil with permanent vinyl. If you don't have a cutting machine you could use contact/plastic book cover and cut out a shape or initial with scissors. It is important that you use a plastic based vinyl (avoid cardboard as it's porous and the bleach mixture will seep through and the lines won't be as sharp). 3. Make the bleach spray mixture. Mix 50/50 Bleach/Water in a spray bottle. You can use different spray nozzles to create different textures but the fine mist spray works best (I had a few trial & errors and the thicker droplet sprays pooled too much and seeped into the design). 4. Place the tshirts on an old towel and place a plastic bag/piece of cardboard underneath (so the spray doesn't seep through to the back). 5. Place the stencil on the tshirt. Press it lightly into the fibres so there are no gaps in the vinyl for the bleach mixture to seep through. 6. Lightly spray with the bleach mixture and immediately blot with a paper towel (so the liquid doesn't pool and seep into the stencil). Less is more, just wait a few minutes and spray more bleach mixture on if it needs it. 7. Leave to dry, peel off vinyl and chuck into the washing machine on a cold wash. This is my new favourite way to customise tops - it is sooo much fun!! Whilst I love bright and loud Christmas tees it's fun to have some grungy retro ones too! Check out my Reel video that I posted earlier today that shows the process of making these tees! Who's got bleach, vinyl, a spray bottle and a spare tee all ready to go!?

03.01.2022 1 year apart with their annual matchy BONDS Christmas PJs Last year the girls were in size 2 rompers & the boys in size 6, and this year (a little bit loose but still fitting) the girls are in size 4 and boys in size 8 they've all grown sooo much this past year!
