18.01.2022 Same colour, different lighting. It’s always really amazing to see how different colours can look depending on the lighting you are in. This is a prime example where the cooler tones pop through in the brighter lighting, and in a warmer lighting the colour looks sooo different! I love this colour in either lighting @ Two Chairs

17.01.2022 Every ending is the beginning of something new. 3 years ago today I was handed the keys to my first very own salon. Oh how time has flown. So many amazing memories were created in my first little business space (well, technically second) of Two Chairs. It really was a home away from home and I am so thankful to each and everyone of you who shared the space with me. You have helped shape me into the hairdresser and business owner I am today. ... I also cannot believe the amazing response I have had of people willing to travel the extra mile (or many extra miles) to come and join me in my new space, boy am I grateful! 06.01.2022 If you don’t fill your cup, how can you expect to be able to give to others when your cup is empty? Self-care has never felt so important to me at a time like this. With time being around family/friends so few and far between, and easily falling into the mode of housework, garden, work, bookwork, cooking, cleaning and running errands being most of what we all seem to be doing, we need to stop, pause and look after ourselves. Whether that means a swim in the ocean (not yet, ...too cold), a warm cup of tea on the deck, reading a book, a pedicure, massage, hair appointment or some meditation, you decide on what is your own medicine. Self care above all else Full cup, full heart.

I am in a profession of service and I love to try and create a very positive and healing environment when you come into the salon. Whether that means giving you some quiet time and leaving it all in my hands, or embracing a burst of individuality when you want me to create a whole new look from your ins...po photos, I am so glad to be in an industry like this in such dark times. 04.01.2022 WARNING: LONG POST. Being a naturally more introverted personality type I really thought that this temporary shut down period would be a walk in the park. Sure, I would miss doing all of your hair and seeing you all on a regular basis, but a break is always good to grow, be more inspired and come back with a refreshed mind, ready to tackle whatever comes your way. But this shut down and social distancing rules have taught me so much about who I am. And I am shocked. ... I have come to find that without my work, my passion, all of you wonderful people - I feel like my soul has lost purpose. I miss seeing you all walk in my door and we exchange smiles. I miss your new ideas and the great challenges you give me each time you want a colour correction or a new style. I miss the positive impact I can have on your confidence and mood. I miss laughing, sometimes crying and sharing stories and ideas together. My work is such a vital piece in my life’s puzzle and I am realising now more than ever, just how apparent is it that something is missing. I seriously miss you all. I will be back as soon as it feels right to be. stay safe everybody

To be honest, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But I have never ever regretted going out on my own for one second. Having my own business has taught me countless lessons, and grown me so much as a person. 03.01.2022 Love a great big TRANSFORMATION I also love how many beautiful blonde tones are walking out of the salon as late. I find blonde so exciting, fun, and fluid. Everyone has a preference when it comes to lightness, tone, texture and balance of colour placement. I also have a foiling obsession and find it SO very satisfying neatly stacking perfect sections of the head with foil packets What’s your favourite blonde tone? And are you a warm, cool or neutral kinda person?
