24.01.2022 Mango lassi vibes. . . Come by The Food Truck Stop @ Queen Victoria Market and grab yours tonight!

24.01.2022 The health and well-being of our customers, staff (many of whom are family), suppliers and the community is our number one priority. In light of this we have decided to make some operational changes to help prevent customers and staff contributing to the spread of the coronavirus. Starting today, in line with government guidelines & medical advice we have implemented a 1.5 metre minimum space between tables. Tables are also no longer pre set - freshly sanitised cutlery will... be provided after orders are placed. We have reduced patron capacity from over 100 to 30. In the coming days we expect that dine in may be phased out completely until the crisis is over. Customers are still able to make purchases through phone orders, pick up and delivery options. In order to keep as many of our very valued staff employed for as long as we possibly can we will be reintroducing in house delivery as soon as we can and are imploring customers to order through this route if at all possible. It may take a bit longer for your food to come but you are helping us keep our staff employed and our business afloat. Deliveries can be placed through our website at www.twofatindians.net.au including delivery of alcohol because lets face it - its easier to get through social distancing with a brew or two. We will still be available on UberEATS and Deliveroo. To our customers please have a bit of patience with us if menu items are not available. Over 13 years we have developed some very solid relationships with our suppliers but the fact is, the recent spate of panic buying has put significant strain on certain commodities. Anyone that has been to the supermarket lately knows what we are talking about. Some of our proteins have gone up by as much as 30% over the past week. The low Aussie Dollar has pushed up the price of rice and spices. We are not wanting to price gouge at a time of disaster so have decided to price freeze until after the COVID-19 situation has passed. But as certain items become unavailable or too expensive to source we will need to look at alternative options. We are also implementing a daily checklist for staff to ensure theyre healthy before coming to work. All staff members must take their temperature before starting a shift, and wont be able to clock on until they confirm they are healthy and well. Doors will be sanitsed every 30 mins. Lastly, and most importantly, anyone doing it really tough (and we know there are many and fear there will be many more before this virus runs its course) , in particular those from the most vulnerable parts of the community (the elderly, the homeless, international students etc) and any of our hospo family that are doing it tough, feel free to pop in and ask for a Corona special, We will pack you a warm meal on the house, no questions asked. At least for, for as long as we are up and trading.

23.01.2022 Fully booked pre footy in the restaurant. Feel free to pick up a take away, order through UberEats or for those going to the match, grab some dinner from the food trucks set up along Treasury Gardens for White Night. 19.01.2022 Order direct, beat the price increases guys! After 2 years of fixed prices for take aways and delivery we have had to increase pricing on some of the third party delivery apps! We are committed to maintaining prices for direct orders, pick or delivery via phone or online through our website. We dont hate on the apps, they have been a great tool for us over the last couple of years but recent sharp increases from our suppliers mean we can no longer absorb the costs.
