23.01.2022 S P O T L I G H T O N V O L U N T E E R S Diane Meaney Diane has been a shop volunteer for 40 years!... She is well known in the community for her long time involvement with the Two Wells Tennis Club, the new Community Garden, teaching yoga weekly and being the warden at the St. Pauls Anglican Church. Diane brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the Craft Shop after 20 years as a bookkeeper at Hart Motors then 35 years self employed in the family transport business as a truck driver and admin. Diane was a founding member of the Craft Shop to provide an outlet for peoples handicrafts and bring a service to the community as well as a place to meet people and create friendships. Diane manages the ordering and pricing of stock, does volunteer rosters and makes jams, potted plants and various crafts. She says that the Craft Shop is important to the community because it provides an opportunity for people to shop locally for birthday or Christmas gifts, or to browse the amazing selection of goods. It brings people to our town and creates a social starting point for newcomers to our community. She is well known for her jam & pickle making, crocheting and knitting that goes way back to when she taught sewing to girls in New Guinea. She is well known in the community for her involvement in Red Cross, TWRAT and the new Community Garden as well as making scarves for scouts! Judi has a background in clerical work and managed the primary school canteen and volunteers for many years. Judi became a shop volunteer for the social aspect in the community and because she loves meeting people. Judis talents include macrame and dream catchers which she also teaches classes for, and she assists in buying stock and is the back up treasurer for Mollie. She says that the Craft Shop is important to the community because it attracts people to our town and provides a convenient shop for those last minute gifts so you dont have to travel. And Judis life lesson is Life is mostly froth & bubble, Two things stand like stone, Kindness in anothers trouble, Courage in your own. See more

Kerrie became a shop volunteer because she loves meeting people in the community and visitors from other places. Kerrie’s talents include crocheting, quilting and sewing that includes beautiful embroidery! She says that the Craft Shop is important to the community because it saves people having to go elsewhere to buy gifts. And Kerrie’s life lesson is You are here for a good time, not a long time!
