22.01.2022 What a week! I feel like I haven’t seen everyone for months. I’ve been tucked away in my little cave this past week, my whole house was hit with a gastro bug and I’ve had a mountain of galleries to get through. 19.01.2022 This is one of my favourite shots from Simon and Brooke’s ceremony. Brooke is at the end of the aisle with her father, waiting to greet Simon. She is looking back over at her mum who is absolutely beaming with happiness waving at her, while her sister in law is placing a loving hand on her shoulder. This photo made me feel more love in one moment than any I’ve ever taken

19.01.2022 Did you know that the exchanging of rings dates back to ancient Egyptians and Romans? They believed the ring, a circle, was a powerful symbol representing eternal love as a circle has no beginning and no end, and it symbolizes the sun and the moon. So now when I hear someone say you are my sun and my moon I’m always going to think about wedding rings. How beautiful would that be inscribed on a wedding band! Idea for you, you’re welcome!

07.01.2022 Whenever I take a photo that has a bird flying overhead I always get this feeling wash over me, a sense of freedom. I saw an eagle at a shoot last week too, which is rare and so amazing. It was circling us so we thought maybe it was chasing something, so then all I could think about was if something was going to jump out (or slither out) from the grass for the rest of the session (nothing did FYI). Also, I get that song stuck in my head... you know birds flying high, you know how I feel . Happy Sunday. Thanks for listening to my ted talk.
