24.01.2022 On the 8th May 1945, the unconditional surrender of the German forces in Europe came into effect. This was the end of the World War II in Europe. The war in the Pacific was to last another three months.

Estimates put the numbers at around 600 or more which makes Tyabb one of the best attended Dawn services on this side of the Peninsula. 10.01.2022 Because of the COVID-19, Coronavirus, pandemic, it is important that Anzac Day commemorations follow government advice on gatherings of people greater than 500. Last year over 600 attended the Dawn Service in Tyabb. Therefore, it is with great regret that we advise that there cannot be a public Anzac Day commemorative service at the Tyabb Cenotaph this year. Nonetheless we urge you all to rise before dawn and watch the live broadcast of the national Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial Canberra. In addition, please remember those who served in so many wars and leave a tribute at the Cenotaph whenever you wish.
