24.01.2022 This fire season has certainly been a challenging one, our members have been busy over the last few months, locally and interstate. It’s greatly humbling and appreciated that our local community recognises our efforts with well wishes and words of support. We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support we are getting from our community so this is our turn to say thanks. Special mention to the Tyabb Cricket Club and Shane and Callum Morris. Amazing efforts on both counts and true community minded people. Thank you
22.01.2022 In the event of an emergency, will we be able to get onto your property??
20.01.2022 It's that time of the year again! Daylight Savings is at an end, which means we all need to check those smoke alarms. While you walk around the house looking for all the clocks you need to change (and usually forgetting one, you know the clock I'm taking about), give your smoke alarms a test to. Remember "only working smoke alarms save lives!"
20.01.2022 JANUARY THE 23RD! Save that date for this smashing fundraiser, should be an awesome evening!
19.01.2022 Happy New Year from the Tyabb CFA! We have heard from our crew in Gippsland, they are safe and will be heading home later today (Photo supplied by Jamie of strike team 0802)
19.01.2022 You've probably heard when watching the news, that many of the fires in Victoria and NSW are so big that they are developing their own weather systems. This is who that happens:
18.01.2022 Movember update: So far we have raised a good amount of money for men’s health, as well as a few eyebrows for some pretty ordinary looking upper lips. We are very appreciative of the donations that have been coming in, but feel that we could do better. If you would like to donate please click the link below and be a part of helping men across the country. https://movember.com/t/tyabb-mo-hoses?mc=1
16.01.2022 The present run is about to begin! :)
16.01.2022 JUST IN! Santa WILL be coming to town on the fire truck for the Lolly and Present run's this year! We have been waiting for the all clear from Santa himself as he wanted to make sure everyone could stay as safe as possible. Now all the good boys and girls at the Tyabb CFA will be working with Santa's elves to organise dates and how to keep everyone safe!... Watch this space for more updates as soon as they come in!

14.01.2022 Movember update: So far we have raised a good amount for men’s health, as well as a few eyebrows for some pretty ordinary mo attempts!! We are very appreciative of the donations received so far, but we feel we could do better. 14.01.2022 FYI: Open Air Burning Regulations for October!
13.01.2022 UPDATE: Covid-19 has affected us all in the way we go about our daily lives. The CFA, and more locally Tyabb Fire Brigade is no different. As such, we want to advise you that we have implemented certain measures to help protect our members, but more importantly members of the public while still responding to emergencies, in line with CFA guidelines. The most important things that you need to be aware of is that: Response to all emergency calls will be as normal, that won’t ...change!! We still have an obligation to our community, and will be pro-active on scene with how we manage each response. Our members are all volunteers, and go home to their families after each call, so we ask that you respect any advise or direction you may get from us while attending to an emergency. The station will no longer be available for community groups, until we get further advice We encourage people to continue to follow the advice from the Victorian and Federal Government in relation to self isolation, and how to help minimise transmission. We would greatly appreciate any information regarding anyone in self isolation (if known) upon arrival to an emergency. This notice has been put out to help give confidence that your local CFA will still be there for you should you need us. Please look after yourselves and others in during this time. Thank you for your on going support and understanding!! Tyabb Fire Brigade
13.01.2022 Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives tonight doing their job to protect us
11.01.2022 The end of the month is upon us, but that doesn’t mean that the conversation about men’s health should also come to an end. Our team has grown some average, but meaningful Mo’s for a great cause that affects our community and therefore touches us all. If you have not already donated (even if you have you can always do it again) please stand up and be apart of the Mo-vement that will help men across the country. We will post photos of our teams efforts soon so keep the donations flowing in. Cheers
11.01.2022 Stay safe everyone!
10.01.2022 Well this is the result of our efforts for Mobember! Thank you to everyone that have donated over the month and supported men’s health. Not sure that the mo’s will become a permanent fixture at the station but, they will definitely be back next year!! Cheers
10.01.2022 Hope you got all your presents for tonight's Present run, as we have just done our last present pick-up!
08.01.2022 Our thoughts go out to Tyabb Aeroclub and it’s families and friends for the loss of two of their own today. Tyabb Captain and my members
06.01.2022 Did you know that this week is Fire Action week??
06.01.2022 At 5:40pm tomorrow, April 29th, our brigade will be sounding our station siren four times, along with many other brigades, as a mark of respect to the four Police Officers who tragically lost their lives last week.
06.01.2022 Stay up to date, stay safe!
05.01.2022 Santa has just released his tour dates!!! He will be in Tyabb on the 20th December for the traditional lolly run starting at 0900. There are some COVID guidelines that Santa has to follow, so please be aware that this year may be different from previous years.
05.01.2022 Due to the extreme conditions being projected for tomorrow Monday 30/12/2019 It may be wise to consider things like the potential loss of Power. Consider ensuri...ng your mobile phones etc are fully charged overnight. Keep your Home cool as possible and minimise opening of fridges and freezers. If you have an electric gate, Garage Roller door etc ensure you know how to access in the event of a power outage. This is a forward-thinking post just in case, better to be prepared as I am sure the power network will be in heavy demand and hopefully not affected by ongoing fires in nearby regions. Monitor your local radio stations and authorities for Warnings or advisory alert message, information. Stay up to date at the following Vic Emergency Stay Safe Stay Alert and be aware of your surroundings and active situations. M.P.I.A Team See more
05.01.2022 Last week saw us get our tanker 1 return from Strike Team duties in Gippsland since December. With a bit of TLC from the DMO’s and a full strip down and clean of our equipment you will see it back on the road serving Tyabb again. Thanks to all crews that looked after our truck for the last few months. Good to have a full complement of vehicles back.
02.01.2022 Peninsula Aero Club welcomed a Skycrane aerial firefighting helicopter this morning for currency training in preparation for fire fighting ops on the Peninsula should it be required.
01.01.2022 We’re raising funds and awareness this November for all the dad’s, brothers, son’s and mates in our lives. We need your help. Please donate to support mens health. https://movember.com/t/tyabb-mo-hoses?mc=1
