17.01.2022 Day 1 - Thursday 28th January The TEAM TYABB Vanguard has arrived to set up base camp for our first ever Championship Show. So far, so good!! Everyone in our first trip has arrived in one piece (Phew!!) been worked, washed and settled for bed without incident.... No one has fallen off yet , (I know it is early but this is a good start!!) and it will be a great show. Weather wise it looks like it might be a challenging first day competing but I am looking forward to seeing how Day 2 will pans out. We have has 5 horses and 4 riders in Ring 3 tomorrow and TEAM TYABB riders volunteering on nearly all rings at some stage or another during the show. What a great way to start!! To say I am proud and impressed by the Team's efforts and commitment before the show has even begun is an understatement . I just hope their tent building skills don't let me down . Coach Crystal.

15.01.2022 Set your clocks for the entries on this fantastic event TEAM TYABB!! as entries will fill fast and some riders will miss out. Check in with Coach Crystal first, as this event does require full Equestrian Australia membership for riders competing and is of a much higher standard then the monthly Showjumping Championships @ Boneo Park.

15.01.2022 Tyabb Equestrian Covid-19 Safe Plan All riders and attendees to Tyabb Equestrian need to read and abide by the following . . . 1 - Tyabb Equestrian will abide by all Covid-19 protocol for the safety and well being of our clients and it is expected that our clients do the same.... 2 - Please do not attend the premises if you, your rider or any close contacts have been or are exhibiting cold or flu symptoms or could have had any contact/exposure with Covid-19 hotspots. Our livelihood and the continuation of lessons at Tyabb Equestrian depends upon it!! 3 - Social distancing is to be strictly adhered to, where ever practically possible, by all participants. 4 - Masks are to be worn by all riders, parents and visitors (riders under 12yo are excepted but may still choose to do so) at all times, unless mounted. 5 - Gloves should be worn at all times by riders utilising school horses and equipment. 6 - Hand sanitizer is located at the stable yard and arena entry, wash bays and tie ups. It is the responsibility of participants to utilise it. Detergent for hand washing can also be found at tap locations. 7 - Tyabb Equestrian as per Covid-19 guidelines does not have a bathroom, changeroom and any indoor areas available to participants at this time. Riders should take this into account and plan for their ride accordingly. 8 - Tyabb Equestrian requests that where ever possible, unnecessary visitors and supporters do not remain on the premises during lessons or for any longer than absolutely necessary for drop off and pick up of students, to minimise Covid-19 transmission risks. 9 - Coaches will adhere to mask protocol as per Covid-19 regulations for teachers and personal trainers. 10 - Horse riding is a dangerous and potentially life threatening sport and all participants involved do so, knowingly, at their own risk. At this time thus includes both acknowledging and taking personal responsibility for the additional risk of Covid-19.

14.01.2022 Even the best riders in the world make mistakes or have unorthodox riding styles that can sometimes cause them problems. Can anyone out there in Team Tyabb suggest what went wrong (and right as it is always good to focus on the positives) here and what could be done to prevent it happening/happening again? 13.01.2022 Well written HorseListening!! 'Bad' training, for both horse and rider is of no benefit to either and leads to bad habits. While 'good enough' is often more than good enough and the perfect step to positive progress, bad work is best avoided.... Make it easy, make it fun, make it enjoyable and both horse and rider will always succeed.

13.01.2022 Thanks so much for everyone's help!! So much good advice, litres of colostrum and we now have one very healthy foal and mum. If I didn't get back to you, I a...pologise. It was a very busy time . The Facebook horse community is amazing and to each and everyone one of you, again THANKS!! FOALING EMERGENCY- Can you help? We have a Hemolytic mare who is 14 days off foaling but definitely looks like she is going to foal early. Desperately need to be able to buy/source some colostrum asap as her foal cannot drink hers (will have severe health complications, possibly die if it does). Can anyone help, will go and pick up no problem? Please share or tag anyone you might know that could help. Photo of previously saved bubba for attention.

11.01.2022 Tyabb Equestrian Covid Policy Update In light of recent changes in the Covid-19 situation in Victoria, Tyabb Equestrian has made additional changes to our Covid-19 Protocol. For the safety and wellbeing of all riders, staff and supporters at Tyabb Equestrian we ask that riders, parents and supporters who are unwell with cold and flu like symptoms DO NOT attend the premises or lessons.... Tyabb Equestrian also asks that riders, parents and supporters who have close contacts who have exhibited cold and flu like symptoms anytime in the preceding 14 days DO NOT attend the premises or lessons. In line with the Government's 3 ring contact response Tyabb Equestrian also requires that any person, rider, family member or supporter that has been potentially exposed to Covid-19 at a public exposure site or is a close contact of a potential exposure DO NOT attend the premises or lessons. For public exposure sites please see www.dhhs.vic.gov.au .This list is updated regularly and we do ask that Tyabb Equestrian clients keep up to date with these changes. Tyabb Equestrian has 15 horses and riders, of all shapes and sizes headed out to make the most of this fantastic opportunity to polish their skills before competition starts back this year. 04.01.2022 Celebrate the return to riding lessons @ Tyabb Equestrian with a FREE Training Polo!! Riding lessons will return @ Tyabb Equestrian as soon as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. All lessons run for an hour. A mix of private, semi private or small groups are available depending on rider needs and horse availability.... 2020/21 prices for lessons are $60 per rider, per lesson but regular weekly riders can choose to pay $225 a month. Book and pay for your month in advance and receive a Tyabb Equestrian Polo for free (normally $39.95). Our Training Polos are hard wearing enough for heavy duty every day riding but also nice enough to wear out to comps and training days in support of Team Tyabb. With extreme heat forecast on Monday and TEAM TYABB headed off to the Homes & Acreage Wetlands Championships Show at Boneo Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will be no lessons this coming week on MONDAY & FRIDAY!!... The team will be coaching on Tuesday to make up for this and there are still some Wednesday spots available.
