24.01.2022 Much as I love training outside, today is now a full on study day. Hopefully the prediction is not quite true, and it will be just rain today and I can get back out there bright and early tomorrow

23.01.2022 What a star. Awesome to have a 100-104 age competition category. Maybe I will take up swimming again at 80 too

22.01.2022 Hey, talk about starting them young :-)

22.01.2022 Respect to these guys

22.01.2022 Im impressed :-)

22.01.2022 So, after a couple of weeks of being left to our own devices, how about some challenges for next week. If you havent got on mission with steps yet, how about aiming for 10,000 a day and 10 flights of stairs. Myself and Gemma have agreed to aim for 15,000 steps a day, plus 15 flights of stairs. On top of that how about a few extra bonus challenges: 1) A suitably challenging hill. Mount Lofty works for me. 2) As many flights of stairs as you can in 20/30 minutes... 3) A solid 5k/ 10k run Pop up your results if you would to inspire. Have a fabulous week :-) See more

21.01.2022 Free Monday Online Bootcamp on again Monday 6pm Adelaide time (9.30am UK) 35-40 mins with basic or no kit, a bit of fun, should suit most. If you want to join in, and havent already done so, message me your email address, Tyla

21.01.2022 Another good reason to eat your greens :-)

20.01.2022 Ive just had an email to let me know that registrations are now open for City to Bay on Sunday 17th September. Its discounted to $45 if you book within 45 days. Whos up for it?

19.01.2022 For the last couple of Monday’s 6pm, I’ve been running a free/fun online workout class through Zoom. I think I’m getting the hang of it now Using just minimal kit (or objects about the home) we run through approx 40 minutes of cardio and strength training. Should suit most, but note, joining in is at your own risk. Please message me your email if you would like to attend. I’m holding a class tomorrow 13th April, so a shout out to John, Leigh, Audrey and anyone in my old Edinburgh Fighting Fit Bootcamp to join in too 9.30am UK time Happy Easter

19.01.2022 What a gorgeous sunrise this morning. Loving training outdoors

18.01.2022 Hey folks, challenges for next week. Almost goes without saying, but I will say it anyway, 10,000 steps and 10 flights a day, plus 3 challenges. 1)A measured 5k 2)30 minutes stairs, note flights. 3)Mount lofty or equivalent.... Whos up for that? Have a happy and healthy week :-) See more

17.01.2022 If you still look pretty after a workout, you havent worked hard enough, ha ha

16.01.2022 So heres my day so far, good to get some floors climbed. Not quite Mount Lofty, but it does the job. So thoughts for next week. 10,000 steps and 10 floors as standard and how about a few bonus days. 1) Timed 5k 2) See how many flights of stairs you can do in 20 minutes, for a speed challenge (safety first) 3) As many flights of stairs as you can do in 1hour for steady endurance challenge... 4) For those with bikes, is it to be a 10, 15 or 20k + 5) Ive still to get to the swimming pool. Whos been doing laps and hows that gone? Whats the challenge for next week. 6) Super long walk. See how many steps you can get in one day. Just to set the bar for myself, I have managed 35k steps, so I will aim to beat that. So, whos up for some/all of this weeks challenges? Gemma, Laura, Allison, Elaine, Anthony, Paula. Please share with anyone you think might be interested. See more

12.01.2022 Hey folks. Challenges for this week. 10,000 steps, 10 flights of stairs each day. 1) A long walk, aiming to beat your average day 2) 30 minutes for as many flights of stairs as you can 3) A 5k timed walk/jog/run And now for some strength challenges:... 1) Hold a plank for as long as you can, note down and post 2) Wall sit for as long as you can, again note down and post 3) Kettlebell swings, go for time with as many single arm swings as you can, (swing to head height) change arms as needed. Focus on glutes and avoid back activation. Note weight and time. This one would be good with some solid, strong beat music :-) How does that all sound? See more
