22.01.2022 Fibre optic cables, actually "NO" this is a picture of the steel bands inside a tyre !!! The steel bands have a similar function to wheel spokes, providing structural strength, & a providing a platform for the rubber/ tread to bond too, thereby enabling the tyre to stay structurally round, allow the tyre to deflect/ follow the contours of the surface it rolls over & then perform shape recovery on every rotation !!! As an aside the steel bands also aid in puncture resistance & maintain integral strength !!!!
