17.01.2022 Indulgences don’t make you a bad person, indulgences makes you a human. Unless you’re a hermit and don’t like talking to people, you’re going to eat something you think you shouldn’t. Most of the time this will be a social event with a friend or multiple friends and you’re all experiencing something together and connecting.... Food is a fuel for our body but it’s not just fuel. Food brings pleasure, food brings together people food tastes bloody good. So next time you indulge don’t be angry at yourself for slipping up especially when you had fun with your friends and enjoyed your day. An indulgence is different to a binge though. An indulgence may set you over a hundred calories or a few hundred but after that meal you’re back on track. You might feel a bit of guilt but it’s not something you repeat all the time and feel like you’re out of control. A binge is different. A binge is uncontrolled, leaves you feeling guilty and wondering what happened? A binge is also much more frequent and is usually done alone when people can’t see you. If you binge eat you’re not alone. I had this problem a lot when I was younger. I know what it’s like. If you suffer with binging then I urge you to seek physiological help you overcome this. You’re not broken and you aren’t alone. The best thing you can do is to find someone who can help you overcome this. The important thing here is that you know the difference between an indulgence and a binge and knowing what you need to do if you do struggle with food. #mondaymusings #ilovefood #indulgences #indulging #eatingfood #highcaloriefood #bingeeating #buildingfriendships #creatinggoodhabits #makingprogress

10.01.2022 The secret to muscle building or losing fat isn’t hidden from you. There are people like myself who give you all the information you need in order to reach your goals. The question is why aren’t you doing it? ... It’s not because of a lack of information, it’s not because you haven’t found the perfect calorie deficit or surplus. It might be because you’re not actually committed to the goal. Do you really want to lose weight? Do you really want to gain muscle? Sometimes you just need to put your money where your mouth is and make a financial commitment to pursuing your goals. As someone who’s educated in nutrition and training why would someone like me have a coach? It’s because I need to commit to what I want and that’s why I have @denver_steyn as my coach. He takes away the stress of what I have to do, he removes the questioning and doubt from my head. He holds me accountable every week and wants to know am I following what he tells me to do. Maybe that’s what you need to do if you find yourself not able to stick to things. Maybe now Is the time to pull the trigger and reach out to a trainer or an online coach and get their help. If you’re serious about achieving a goal, maybe what you need to do is make a financial commitment. Just some food for thought. #foodforthought #accountability #makingorogress #nutritioncoaching #onlinecoaching #onlinenutritioncoach #newtownpersonaltrainer #newtownnutritionist #nutritionist #goalsetting #makingprogress #keepmovingforward

07.01.2022 Fun facts about trying to gain some muscle. 1. You will never only gain just muscle. When you’re in a calorie surplus your body will put on muscle and body fat. You can minimise the amount of fat you gain by staying in a smaller surplus and making you’re trying to progressively overload in the gym. 2. The longer your muscle gain phase goes for you will find that your appetite will begin to drop, especially when you’re going into heavier body weights that you haven’t reached b...efore. If you do struggle with your appetite use liquid calories like sauces, oils, juices, choccy milk etc to help bump up calories without force feeding yourself. 3. You can not look as big as you think you will in a muscle gain phase. The point of this is to push your weight higher to gain muscle and some fat and then strip the fat afterwards. That’s when you’ll look bigger. 4. Gaining muscle means you’ll also lose definition once you move into the higher body fat levels and that’s OK. It’s all apart of the process. 5. You don’t have to bulk and cut and if you’re someone who just wants to lose some fat and look good that’s where it can stop for you. From there you can work on maintaining your physique and keep exercising and keeping healthy. 6. It’s easy to go overboard on during a muscle gain phase and eating too many calories. So if you want to do your best job with keeping fat gain to a minimum don’t eat like an asshole (yes this is similar to point number one but too many people get carried away in their muscle gain phase and eat too much). #nutritiontips #nutritionist #musclegainphase #gainingmuscle #sportsnutritionistsydney #diettips #gettingbig #thiccboy #musclegain #bulkingup

03.01.2022 If you’re reading this I assume you’re a human. If you’re a human then you’re quite prone to make mistakes. You make mistakes at work, you make mistakes with buying the wrong things, you make mistakes when you forget an event.... Yet when you make a mistake and aren’t perfect with your diet you freak the Fark out and call yourself a failure. You’re constantly striving for perfection yet you’ll never achieve perfection. Sorry to burst your bubble but it’s good that you come to grips with that now and start aiming to be close to perfect. If you are reaching 90% adherence you’re going to see results. The results may be slower and not as good as you like but you’re sticking to your plan. You’re getting close to perfect and close is still great! When you go over your calories because you weren’t perfect that’s OK. From there you get back on track tomorrow and you be consistent. Don’t aim for all or nothing. Aim for doing the best you can and adhering as best you can. If that means once a week you go over by a few hundred calories that’s very small in the grand scheme of things. This doesn’t mean that you can make the excuse of not trying to do the best you can or slacking off with your nutrition, it just means that you don’t have to obsess about being perfect and beating yourself up when you go over your calories for day. Consistency will get you much further than just aiming for perfection, failing and then falling off track. #consistencyoverperfection #resultstaketime #aimforconsistency #keepmovingforward #progresstakestimes #makingprogress #fatlossjourney #perfection #perfectiming #sportsnutritionist #nutritionist

02.01.2022 Wow, I was actually quite surprised about this cereal. I was a little skeptical at first because this was a limited edition cereal and it also had marshmallows and cinnamon in the cereal (both of which I’m not a big fan of.) However this cereal tastes surprisingly good!... The cinnamon that’s in the cereal isn’t overpowering and you can eat the cereal dry without having to worry about your mouth being on fire. The marshmallows aren’t too sweet and they seem to blend in between the crunch of the actual cereal which again makes me a happy man. This is another perfect cereal for your post workout treat because it’s purely carbohydrates and very low in fat. For that I give the calories an 8/10 Cost wise, this was a $20 cereal which is the most expensive cereal I’ve purchased but I’m not upset about it. Because of the price I wouldn’t buy it again but if it came down to a regular price like the other American cereals I would. Volume rating: 7/10 this little blocks can fill up a whole mug and not bring a huge amount of calories that come along with it which is perfect for when you’re dieting and looking to fill your stomach a bit more. I’m really enjoying this cereal not for just the taste and volume but also because of the creativity that has been thought up to make mine craft cereal. If you can get your hands on it and you like novelty, get this cereal #cerealkiller #cerealreview #highcarbdiet #cerealtime #breakfasttime #breakfastofchampions #anaboliccereal #eatyourbreakfast
