Most of U3A’s outdoor walking groups have recommenced and several smaller groups have begun meeting at members’ homes and in other places where allowed. Other groups have continued to catch up via email, phone calls and online Zoom meetings. All activity participants still have to physical distance themselves and observe any other rules that are in place. Please contact the Convenor of your group to find out what's happening. Thank you.

12.01.2022 Since easing of restrictions the Musical Instruments Group are once again meeting face to face in a large, safe space. "Our weeks meeting up on Zoom were great. Zoom gave us the opportunity to meet weekly as usual, to chat and play music together, though each of us were in our own homes. Nothing can compare with playing music together in one space, but Zoom was a welcome next best thing!!"

04.01.2022 Your Committee of Management (CoM) have authorised our Walking Groups, the Art Groups, Chess and the RUGs Book Club to re-start their activities from June. U3A Bendigo insurance is re-instated for those groups. If possible other small groups may apply to CoM to restart their activities in members' homes, acting in conjunction with the Protocols below. U3A Bendigo facilities at St Mary’s remain closed, as under the State of Emergency Directives (Law) we cannot participate in... activities indoors. Hopefully more of Victoria's restrictions will be lifted from 21/22 June and yet more from 12/13 July. The modified Protocols developed for you by CoM are: Protocols for U3A Bendigo Members as Part of Our COVID-19-Safe Plan: Be aware of your underlying health issues and ask yourself "am I at a greater risk if I attend an activity at the moment?" 01.01.2022 Friday 8 May we're told that there will be some announcements on possible lessening of COVID-19 restrictions and Monday 11 May (I think is when State of Emergency ends or gets an extension.) Hopefully out of all that there may be some good news on Monday. We will advise U3A Bendigo members on anything that is relevant to them U3A Bendigo-wise. Tell us how you are going, what have you been doing/focusing on? Found any new hobbies? Used any new (to you) social platforms to keep in touch with friends or family? Written that book yet, or got back to that family tree? Love to hear ......... Hope you and yours are all safe and virus-free.
