19.01.2022 Sign on day was a wash out as the oval was too wet for the markets to go ahead. It was a shame as it is usually a nice friendly morning.

11.01.2022 The Regional meeting was a very enlightening event, we all learnt how other U3A's are supported in the community. Our support comes mainly from our small town, and is much appreciated. We are currenly searching for a new home as St Matthews Church is closing it's doors. This is such a big loss to our group as we have been happy there, and we have looked after the beatiful little hall like a home, keeping it clean and tidy and fixing broken windows etc.

08.01.2022 Our next event is Seniors Week which starts for us on the 16th of August with a Seniors and Youth ( Rappers & Rockers Fishing Trip). There are various events and they are advertised in our local paper and also on the COTA Qld Website.

07.01.2022 Has anyone got any suggestions for Seniors Week, 13-21August.

05.01.2022 New classes for our U3A are a Games Night that is held on the first Friday of the month from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. phone Carmel 41290046. Another exciting venture is Lunch and a Speaker which will be held once a term and this group will visit local venues to enjoy the food and hear someone speak about various subjects. Phone Val 41290078. First Lunch is on 2nd March.

01.01.2022 U3A Howard District Inc has moved to the Uniting Church Hall in Coal St Howard. The first term will run between the 26th January and 24th March. Sign on at the Howard markets on 6th Feb 9-12.... Courses offered this term are Line Dancing, Table Tennis, Tai Chi, Creative Writing, Walking for Fitness, Games Night, Lunch and a Speaker at a local venue. The Annual general meeting is on Monday 30th March beginning with Morning tea at 10.00am. Should be a good year
