20.01.2022 Some of our groups are starting to meet up now, including Games club, Bushwalking group, Dogwalking group, Walking group, Bicycle group and Bookclub. Even the Art Appreciation people are doing a gallery visit virtually. I may have missed some, let us know how you have continued on, or started up again with your U3A class/group. Also... Wendy McKelvie and her card making group with the help of Chris Trimnell, are putting packs together for those who are not electronically connected and sending them by post.
20.01.2022 Are you thinking of dining out after June 1? Here are some of the guidelines that eateries have to abide by (written up by Broadsheet Melbourne). It looks complicated for owners and comes with fines for non-compliance, but they will be happy to be back to at least some sort of trading, even if it is so limited.

10.01.2022 In our current difficult times it's great to reflect on things around you and have a laugh... this was written by Judy Eddy and published in a recent Embroiderers Guild 'Loose Threads' publication. I thought it good enough to share... Are you suffering from Covid19 Confusion? Just be careful, because people are going crazy from being locked down. I’ve just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster, while drinking champagne, and all of us agreed that things are ...getting bad. I didn’t mention anything to the washing machine, as she puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge, as he is acting cold and distant. In the end, the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine, no situation too pressing. The vacuum cleaner was very unsympathetic told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over! The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion and didn’t say anything, but the door knob told me to get a grip. The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to yes, you guessed it Pull myself together BOOM, BOOM!!!!. See more

07.01.2022 Art Appreciation This is the virtual artbus trip we did last Friday. This virtual exhibition by Provenance Artists replaced the annual Arts Of Oz exhibition which is normally displayed at Nossal High School. If you had a virtual $2000 to spend (like we did!) - what artwork/s would you buy? http://artsofoz.com/

05.01.2022 Now that we’re allowed some visitors there has been arrangements by some of our Games Club members to meet and play cards at different homes (no more than 5 people). Has your class/group made Covid arrangements?? All very unofficial but lovely to see familiar faces in person.
