25.01.2022 INVITATION to LIGHT LUNCH & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING MEMBERS / WOULD-BE MEMBERS (and please feel free to bring GUESTS) to a rear garden LUNCH gathering at... 63 GOVERNMENT ROAD, BURRUM TOWN 11.30am TUESDAY 30 JUNE PLEASE BYO: food/drink, cutlery/crockery, and A CHAIR (Kathy's backyard has lots of room for SOCIAL DISTANCING and hand-sanitizer will be provided). AFTER LUNCH there will be a brief General Meeting to pass the Feb to May 2020 Financial Statements followed by our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (postponed from 30 March 2020) This will include; * The President’s Report * The Treasurer's Report * Ratification of Motions regarding changes to the Constitution for forwarding to the Office Of Fair Trading (i.e. Point 18 (5) of Constitution that Committee positions have a 3 year limit; and Point 40 (8) - that Proxies only be used in extenuating circumstances. (PLEASE NOTE: Both motions were passed at monthly meetings in 2019 /2020) and * Judy Sheehan taking the chair in order to declare all Committee positions vacant and call for 2020/21 nominations from the floor. Some light entertainment will finish the day with a bit of Hokey Pokey from Kathy and a fun Sing-a-Long lead by our Singing for Pleasure group. *****GOVERNMENT COVID19 HEALTH REGULATION SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES WILL BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES.....Sorry people, we know it has been a long time, but strictly NO hugging, kissing and handshaking as we want to keep everyone safe******



23.01.2022 President Thore Thorsen & Treasurer Pamela Clark presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to the Burrum Benevolent Society (BBS) for their recent EXTREMELY generous donation - our little group (the smallest in Queensland) could not manage without such thoughtful and practical support especially during these Covid19 times. We remain forever grateful BBS

19.01.2022 Our COVID19 Annual General Meeting 30 June in spacious garden setting - thank you Kathy ...threatening rain holding off just long enough for business proceedings to be completed and byo light lunches comfortably consumed. Many thanks also to those who ventured out after lockdown in order to attend; and Judy Sheean for conducting the election of our new Committee headed by Thore Thornsen as 2020/21 President

11.01.2022 Our "Welcome (Back) Morning Tea" was thoroughly enjoyed by all - so good to see some of you again and many thanks to "Naughty Coffee" for being such wonderful hosts allowing us to 'invade' the new extension.
