25.01.2022 Another great day on our first session after the COVID lockdown. Great to be back out there again.

25.01.2022 Heres a more serious post Please share around to everyone that you know that uses the area. WILBINGA... Please be aware after recent talks with wilbinga shacks crew and parks and wildlife we have come to the following decision as our part of keeping the area usable. Sunday the 7th.... We will have our main unimog in the area collecting burnt vehicles to drag to a collection point for parks and wildlife to collect with there loader in some up and coming works. There will also be a white GU Nissan patrol in the area of ours. Both will be obvious. Can we please ask you stay well clear of us in your travels and avoid us in the best way you can. Whilst we try our best we dont have full control over some items we tow. This means dont pull over close to the track, try not to stop us as some dead weights are very hard to get moving again and please dont impead on what we are trying to do as it helps everyone that enjoys the area. If you would like to jump on board as a business please get in contact as we have a couple of small things that would be helpfully if so. We are not getting paid for this, so we would just love people to be courteous about the whole thing. Kind regards WESTCOAST 4x4 RECOVERY 0417090373

24.01.2022 Please be advised there is a road block just south of Military Road on Indian Ocean Drive, manned by WA Police & SES personnel. This is to stop / restrict people travelling between the City of Wanneroo (Perth/Peel region) and Shire of Gingin (Wheatbelt) in line with the state government directives. Please remember those personnel checking movements are only doing their job. Please remain respectful. Intrastate Travel WA $50,000 Fines ... 14.01.2022 There are some great efforts starting to happen after COVID already with All Tracks 4wd Club cleaning up Red Hill by the way of 5 tons of crap and Westcoast Rec...overies with the extraction of a bunch of vehicle wrecks out of Two Rocks and Wilbinga, its been a bloody good start. Great effort guys, just outstanding. Shame about the entitled ones that are still hell bent on being dickheads in closing places by their stupid acts of ignorance. Please share. See more

13.01.2022 As can be seen, by the photos, way, way too many people didn't stay south of the boundary today (the wheel tracks everywhere??!), and even then they are not sup...posed to be there either - all young ones too. At least we did the right thing and got passes to get through the Police roadblock. I just wonder how many don't realise that being in Wilbinga today that no insurance would cover their arses during these COVID restrictions, not even third party. There were so many vehicles out there today on the wrong side, it's just mind-boggling. We hoped for the best that people would do the right thing but we expected the worst and we were not disappointed in that the worst was the case. With an 80 being towed out after being put on its side. Clowns riding on roof racks well over 40kph driving on the beach. Only saw one sand flag on one 4wd today. And there was approx. 40 vehicles we came across on the wrong side - they can't all have resided within the Wheatbelt region. The whole area has been chopped up to the shithouse. I guess this is what happens when the responsible are kept out. See more

12.01.2022 New growth is starting to come through with a tad of condensation in the mornings now after late last years fires. This mornings rains will help immensely. Can ...those visiting please minimise their excessive wheel spin by airing down before heading in as Wilbinga Road is a mess again and there are many wombat holes out there on the tracks. Dont be a wombat by not airing down. Please minimise excessive wheel spin - please! Recommended pressures now, 14psi given the weights over the wheels - plus or minus. Thank you. See more

09.01.2022 Due to 1080 poison being placed in water source areas (water catchment) near where we conduct our 4wd training as licenced DBCA commercial operators, we now, unfortunately, need to advise that trainees pet dogs can no longer accompany us on our Rocky Terrain 4wd Course. It is simply too dangerous for them now. It has nothing to do with pet dogs defecating and the said related nasty bacteria breaking down faeces as then there would be issues with other fauna such as wild pigs... and other native and none native animals in the area. Statement; Ultimate 4wd Training is NOT in favour of the use of 1080 poison in Perth drinking water source areas due to all fauna health risks, including human health risks as what has been already discovered and identified in New Zealand with their overuse of 1080 in their drinking water source areas. 1080 is a synthetic very toxic substance, it is not derived naturally from a native pea plant. It does NOT break down in water. See more

04.01.2022 Once upon a time in Cambodia 4wd Training. CMAC lads standing to attention in a parade formation before the commencement of training, just unreal. See this happening in Australian mining? Fat chance!

03.01.2022 NEWS update: Restrictions have now been lifted for some regions but not all. The Mid-west, Goldfields, Pilbara, Gascoyne, and the Kimberly still have restrictions in place. Both Gingin and York Shires, these shire regions are now back open and we are able to start training again. For other areas/regions, we have applied for G2G Passs and been successful in obtaining such passes for training and professional development purposes. But yes, we are open for business up to 20 people only, 10 vehicles maximum. Preference 5 - 6 vehicles. Social distancing still applies.

03.01.2022 Our website will be going down for a couple of hours as we initiate an annual cleanup of our server room, sorry for any inconvenience.

02.01.2022 Hey everyone, we get asked frequently for lost certificates, so to make life that bit better & easier for all of us weve thrown this one together today... https://www.ultimate4wdtraining.com.au/certificates - Every certificate we have created since 2005 is now available for download straight from our website so you can login at your own leisure at any time and grab yours at will, instead of waiting for one of us to email it to you as an attachment. These certificates include both recreation and industry-based statements of attainments when we were an RTO. Cheers.

02.01.2022 Awesome turnout of members for a meeting held at the Margaret Forrest Centre in JFNP. A big thank you to Paul Udinga of DBCA for making the room available and for his presentation on Phytophthora Dieback. This is an insidious disease that anyone who ventures outdoors should be aware of.
