24.01.2022 When you join me for Yoga @ Home via livestreaming, you can use everyday items as yoga props, like your dining chair, loungeroom wall or a rolled blanket. These props are your supports, assisting you through the wobbles, through recovery from injury, through building on your strength or your awareness or through your fatigue. Using props during yoga is not a weakness. Props can create stability through your movement and comfort in your stillness. Using props is supporting yourself where you are right now. Using props is self love.

23.01.2022 Happy Sunday yogis! Incase you hadn't noticed, a few things have changed around here. I give gratitude in this moment for the amazing entre into yoga teaching that Explore Yoga Co. offered me...born from my persuit to offer more yoga in regional Victoria and serving the Ararat and Beaufort communities since 2018. I'm very proud of the community that formed, creating opportunities for you to get to the mat both indoors and out, exploring ways of being still and connecting to s...elf with gratitude and compassion. With circumstances changing on both a personal and global scale early this year, the only way to connect with you on the mat during this time has been through virtual classes. As my evolution as a yoga teacher continues, now my little enterprise is undergoing it's own transformation. I am allowing myself to be fully seen, to take up this space, showing up for you and shedding the business name that was as I step into my own power. You will notice that recently I switched my social media platforms to my personal name. Over the week, I made the final leap to change the domain name of my website. Now when you are looking to book or learn more about my offerings, you can visit https://www.ualiahmat.com/ When you want to contact me, I'm at [email protected]. As I continue to navigate my own experience through this pandemic, I invite you to connect with me on the mat each Sunday afternoon. This is an opportunity for you to take a moment for yourself to breathe, move, be still and check in with you. Here's to exploring yoga more. 22.01.2022 Inviting you to allow conscious breath to be your anchor. Breathe through the excitement of it all. Breathe through the pain of it all. Breathe through the frustration. Breathe through the ambiguity.... Breathe through the disbelief. Breathe through those undulating emotions. Breathe. #yogaoffthemat #breathawareness #selfawareness #selfcare #svadhyaya

18.01.2022 Help supply oxygen for India by getting yin in June. I am dedicating my time to the Swasth cause to supply oxygen for everyone in India. India holds a special place in my heartspace. It represents my first real taste of adventure as India is the first country that myself and Billy (my partner) went backpacking together and the subcontinent of India is the birthplace of yoga and it's teachings which I share with you. Currently India is in need of assistance with medical provis...ions to help deal with their second wave of COVID. Their current daily positivity rate through testing sits just under 10%, according to English newspaper, Daily Pioneer. Oxygen is India’s most important crisis point right now. I am dedicated to help raise funds for Swasth that will go towards the supply of 50,000 Oxygen Concentrators to healthcare institutions in need. For the month of June, I am offering a half hour yin yoga practice to be released each Wednesday, for the five Wednesdays in June. These will be released as recordings for you to enjoy at your own convenience and in the privacy of your own home. To receive a weekly, thirty minute yin yoga practice, you will have the option of selecting your donation amount of either $30, $40 or $50. https://www.ualiahmat.com/shop Five thirty minute sessions will be offered to you for your donation.

12.01.2022 Inviting you to sense into a space of gratitude...it is a practice, not a destination. Giving gratitude can be a way of living. The beauty is in the journey itself. Gratitude is like shining a light on what is important. Holding a grateful heart can alter your perception, you can create your own mental shift by building this habit. When you are grateful for all that is in your life, you may start to see opportunities that present themselves, which you may not have noticed bef...ore. You will realise that the challenges that meet you are all part of the journey. Everything in life is a gift if you allow it to be. Your breath. Your body. Your awareness. You can be thankful for your limits, which teach you patience and perserverence. Gratitude can teach you that what you have is enough. Inviting you to use the next few moments to contemplate all that you are grateful for. via Instagram @ohfajar ><

11.01.2022 The fact that it's almost Christmas is...well, coconuts! Since the end of Metro lockdown, I have thrived on face to face catch ups with beautiful humans, sharing in ideas, dreams and laughter, not to mention movement on the yoga mat...all the things that make my heart sing. These interactions somehow seem so much more precious now. This year has been a long slog because we have been forced into situations that challenged us on so many levels. Maybe we learnt more about oursel...ves, we sat with our vulnerabities and we observed our rising resilience. Look at us go! You made it to December and maybe you're still managing your way through the aftermath of it all or perhaps you have come through this with more purpose and clarity. Whatever your situation, may you nurture your energy levels to sustain you as you move forward into a new week. >< @suesinko.photography

06.01.2022 When you can't see the forest for the trees...yup that's me. I am a details person. I like to get into the nitty gritty, sometimes at the cost of my own sanity. Sometimes it prevents me from seeing the bigger picture...but my yoga practice ie: observing my monkey mind, always brings me back to the forest. That's how yoga helped me today. ><

03.01.2022 Hello tribe! I invite you to check your inbox, as I have just sent out my latest musings. Wishing you moments of clarity as you traverse through your week and may you cultivate your inner peace.... Uali ><

02.01.2022 If you were to ask me what the purpose of my yoga practice is, I would tell you that generally, I come to the mat to maintain my mobility, build awareness (enlightenment) and shift energy. Ask me six months from now and perhaps my focus would have shifted. The thing about a regular practice is that it changes, because our lives are not linea. We fluctuate like the changing tides...one moment we are full of abundance while another moment we feel empty. Yoga practices (like med...itation, physical movement, breath work) can allow us to sense these fluctuations as the observer, to come back to our true selves, a coming home. Consider this your invitation to join me on the mat each Sunday for a fresh Yoga @ Home session. >< https://www.ualiahmat.com/book-online

01.01.2022 I have to step into my courage to keep turning up to the mat, knowing I am usually the largest person in the room, knowing that my abilities may not be as athletic as those around me and knowing I am often older than those that surround me in a studio. That's right. I feel this fear and I do it anyway. This is my superpower. This is why I hold space for you from a place of compassion and gratitude....
