23.01.2022 If you want to make a difference, we want you! The best way to support children's health is to do it together, so register your interest below to hear about upcoming volunteering opportunities. https://ubcvic.org.au/get-involved/volunteer-2/... #ubcvic

20.01.2022 Today for National Volunteer Week we're sharing a comment from Steph Falconer about what volunteering with UBC means to her. "For me it’s all about making an impact, however small it may be, on the lives of children who have to deal with medical issues way too early. Whatever help I can give, whether it be at the Good Friday Appeal, or helping out at the UBC offices, or at one of their local fundraisers, is made even more fulfilling by spending time in the company of like mi...nded and compassionate volunteers at UBC!" She's pictured here in the counting room at this year's Good Friday Appeal. Photo by Uniform Photography. We'd love to hear from you too, what does being a UBC volunteer mean to you? #ubcvic #NVW2021 @volunteeringaustralia @volunteeringaus

16.01.2022 It's National Volunteer Week! Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, not only in our fundraising activities but also behind the scenes, and the UBC State Committee is vital to keeping the club running. Join us in thanking the State Committee this Volunteer Week! ... #ubcvic #NVW2021 Volunteering Australia

10.01.2022 It's National Volunteer Week! Glennys Clothier recently rejoined UBC and responded to one of our recent posts, saying that what volunteering means to her is: "Being able to try and carry on my Dad's legacy" Glennys is the daughter of Ted Jobson (pictured), who joined the club in 1953 and was a founding member of the Riversdale Hotel Group in the early 1960s. ... This group became the Eastern Suburban Branch, and Ted was President of the branch from 1971-1976. Ted received Life Membership and a Meritorious Service Award in 1972. We love to see multiple volunteers from the same family, especially when it gives us the chance to reflect on the history of the club. Thanks Glennys! Do you volunteer with your family or have you found a UBC volunteering family? #ubcvic #NVW2021 Volunteering Australia

01.01.2022 It gave us great pleasure today to present Northern Health with the ice and water dispenser purchased with your donations to the UBC Local Giving for Local Health campaign. Children's ward Nurse Unit Manager Courtney Lowry and pictured nurses Nicole and Sue were on hand to try out the dispenser. The dispenser provides touchless water and chewable ice, which are very helpful to children after surgery.... Thanks to everyone who donated to the Local Giving for Local Health campaign! We look forward to raising the remaining amounts for our other partner health organisations. This photo was taken prior to the latest COVID restrictions #ubcvic #LG4LH @northernhealthau
